Our WHS cheerleaders were joined by youth cheerleaders from the Massillon Tiger Youth Cheerleading Clinic for a pregame performance before tonight’s game! Great job, little Tigers! 📣
The Massillon City Schools would like to congratulate Washington High School senior, Kaleb Carey, for being a Semifinalist for the National Merit Scholarship Program! Semifinalists represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors and include the highest-scoring entrants on the PSAT. Carey is now in the process of fulfilling the requirements to become a Finalist. Half of the finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar title. Finalists will be announced in February 2020.
If someone needs a buddy, BE A BUDDY! THANK YOU to the Massillon Health Department and Massillon Rotary for donating Buddy Benches to our schools! Students have been asked to be on the lookout for others sitting on the benches. A student sitting on a bench at the playground is an indication that they are in need of a friend!
THANK YOU to everyone who attended tonight’s community update at Washington High School! Couldn’t make it tonight? Superintendent Salvino will be at the middle school next Monday, September 23rd!
Join us for Military Night at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium on Friday, September 20th!
No day shall erase you from the memory of time. #NeverForget
It looks like these Franklin students were LOVING the turkey and cheese “munchables” at lunch today!
1980 Washington High School alumnus and current Mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot, served as the honorary team captain and spoke to our Massillon Tiger Swing Band before tonight’s game against Glenoak!
Students in our WHS MD classroom have been volunteering at RiverTree for 25 years! For a celebration reward, RiverTree sent our students to Sluggers and Putters for a day of fun last Friday! It looks like they had a blast!
