Good beautiful Monday morning! I’m not sure what your disappointments are today, but I am sure of this: God often works out situations in life, in a circle. In my life, what often seemed disheartening at the time, was actually part of the sphere in which God was answering my prayer. Even in the shadows God desires us to trust Him. I would encourage you today, have faith and trust in God. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1, NIV)
Good Wednesday morning! As the story goes: a group of men decided to scout out some land and report back their findings. Ten said, – “The living conditions are brutal, too many things to overcome, it can’t be done,” and they stayed put. But two men reported, “No problem. We can do this, God is with us, so we will overcome!” and sure enough – they did! Even in this downturn, God is for us! He will help us. Trust in Him today! What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31, NKJV)
Good Monday morning! For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5) He’s with us, sees us and will bring us through everything. Amen.
I was reading in the Bible where the apostle Paul was under house arrest for two years. Think of it? Two years not being able to leave where he was living. After all this stay-at-home order, we can actually read this verse and wonder how he made it through. Two full years, plus being watched 24/7? We have so much to learn from this follower of Christ. Paul wrote: Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.(Romans 12:2) Great advice. Blessings to you today.
A soft answer takes the sting right out of a quarrel. Probably in these last few months… being in our homes 24/7... a soft answer may not have always slipped from our lips! It is important to note though, what upsets us today, generally, will not matter tomorrow. Since we cannot retrieve any of our past conversations, a soft answer, is really - golden. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. (Proverbs 15:1, NKJV)
Happy Saturday! The word for today is: don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. (Matthew 6:34, NIV) Interesting scripture. Basically it says, worry is useless – today or tomorrow. You mean I don’t have to figure out my life during Covid-19? How my career will turn out and what’s going to happen tomorrow? No worrying about my kids or paying my bills or how I will pay back money I owe? Right, the Bible says – do not worry about these things. God will look after everything that concerns you if you trust Him too. Talk to Him today about your concerns. This beautiful creature has no worries. God provides for him. Let God take care of you… He’s in your tomorrows.
Happy beautiful Monday! This hummingbird is a marvel. It skirts, flits and flies backwards, defying basic physics with its tiny wings. I love to observe this little bird. Sometimes in life we need to beat the odds as well. We keep going when others quit. We draw on God’s strength when ours is gone. We trust in Jesus during troublesome times. He is with us and we will make it through. Jesus saves. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life. You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes; with your right hand you save me. (Psalm 138:7, NIV)
Happy Monday! Nature is the handiwork of God. As the good weather approaches, the sky, the sunrise, the sunset, birds, grass, new foliage, flowers; the Bible says the heavens affirm the grandeur of God. When I watch a sunrise or sunset, I say, “Lord, thank you for all this beauty for me to enjoy. Even in the midst of uncertain times, the heavens still declare your glory, your peace, your presence.” He is so wonderful. Trust in Jesus today. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork. (Psalm 19:1 NKJV)
