Mauro, our host in Piemonte, told me a story of American tourists who brought some grape stalks from his land back home to make their own American Barbera. As a courtesy they sent a bottle to Mauro of the wine. He showed it to me and said a bit mockingly: but look, Carlo, questo non è vino, è aqua, pointing at the 12° alcohol percentage indication on the label. Then he handed me this bottle of Rubermilo, and gestured with pathos: questo... questo è vino, showing me the label: a Barbera with 16,5° of alcohol percentage :) #Casalone #Rubermilo #wow
Today I had delicious agnolotti di stuffato alla Piemontese. Kind of like Flemish carbonades in ravioli.
