This photo perfectly conveys how it feels to be back in my hometown in the Netherlands. 🚲 So thankful for time with my family, speaking Dutch, stroopwafels, krokketten, and life in beautiful Western Europe. 🌷 In the Netherlands, I’m just “Elisabeth” — free from the expectations + pressure I put on myself or I feel others put on me. I really needed that reminder, that who I am isn’t subjective to other people. 💕 I’m Elisabeth, and that means whatever I define it to mean. End of story. ✨ And who you are, what you’ve been through, and what you work towards is for YOU, and no one else, to define. End of story. Where were you born?! Comment below! 🏡💕
BELGIUM DAY TRIP! ✨ Antwerp, Belgium feels like you’re back in time. It’s exactly how you’d imagine it would be, beautifully placed in history. It’s only 45 minutes away from my hometown in the Netherlands, and going there spontaneously with my Dutch family was a DREAM. Here are a few shots I got there. SO FUN adding a third country to my trip to Western Europe.
Really just trying to not get hit with a bike 🚲💕 #awelltraveledgirl - Fringe jacket from @rpeverydayshop
Fun Fact: I love Audrey Hepburn because 1.) for her historical successes in entertainment, 2.) for her global philanthropic work for those in poverty, and 3.) because we’re both 1/2 Dutch + born in very close Western Europe cities 😏💕 That being said, onto my trip to the Netherlands... #awelltraveledgirl - Handlettered by moi with @apple pencil ✨
Splashing in Loch Ness hoping to play with the legendary Loch Ness Monster. I admit I don’t logically think it’s real. But the world opens up + life continues on when we spend our days believing like a child ✨🦕💕
