It’s midday and my household is sleeping. Milly has finally agreed to a nap, even though ‘it not dark outside’, Mike headed back to bed after a 6:30am start to the day and Emma just transferred to bassinet after dozing off in arms. Time to do something exciting like have shower.
At one week old, Emma: - likes 3 feeding stints in a session, dozing off between them. - is sleeping well, through her sister playing / yelling and being passed around. - is waking for a feed about 10/11pm then, with the help of a bottle post-breastfeed, sleeps till about 4am. - takes about 30 minutes from starting-to-wake-up noises till full feed-me-now awakeness. - likes the car and pretty sure she is going to be a dummy girl. She tries to suck her fingers but hasn’t really worked that out. #emmaedgley
Some Mummy and daughter time with my big girl.
Days filled with snuggles.
Michael, Milly and I were delighted to welcome Emma Edgley Potts to our family at 1:01pm Friday afternoon. We’re both doing wonderfully well and Milly is loving cuddles with ‘little sister’.
It is possible we will make the park around the corner before dark. Maybe.
