Our sanctuary partner for March is The Pig Preserve. Nestled high in the remote Cumberland Mountains in Tennessee, The Pig Preserve offers a unique way of caring for rescued pigs of all breeds. The sanctuary consists of approximately 100 acres of lush, grassy fields, deep woods, steep hollers and spring fed ponds. Here the pigs are free to live and roam on their own terms with minimal human interactions. The Pig Preserve is committed to providing not only a safe, secure home for desperate and needy pigs, but also giving them the gift of freedom and the ability to live their lives without confinement and in an environment that is natural and free. We love this mission and for every Jerky of the Month box sold, we are donating $1 to them!

Day late to International Women’s Day because we needed just the right photo ;) Jessica and Hannah are the shipping queens, basically you wouldn’t even have jerky without these kick ass women.
Pineapple Sweet & Sour is going fast! We only have 3000 bags left until we launch our new small batch flavor. What will it be?? 🤔
Meatless Monday vegan cheese shoutout to @cheezehoundinc, which you can buy at our sister @morelscafe 🧀
Our employee spotlight of the month is our co-worker and now, good friend Ryan. He grew up in Colorado and as a young adult his family moved to Boston where he attended college. After graduating with a degree in Biology, he moved to Louisville KY. He enjoys playing music, and has been keeping busy with a couple of promising projects. He’s currently in a funk band called Garden Camp, and also produces beats for hip hop artists. In addition to playing music, he enjoys bird watching and has traveled to South Africa on a scholarly trip to analyze birds. He's been in the jerky kitchen for several months and has been a great addition to the team. Most importantly, his favorite Louisville Vegan Jerky flavors are BBQ and Maple Bacon. Thanks Ryan for being an awesome LVJ employee!
