Experiments creating bowls.
I’ve been experimenting with forms and pours this weekend. This was a free-form shape.
A new venture I’m so excited about!
There are some things I just don’t know how to share about. My mother’s declining mental faculties is one of them. In the past I’ve not been good with personal storytelling. I’m not good at sharing all of the details that support a good story. I also dislike asking for help. I dislike it a lot. There’s no nobility in that and it’s one of my areas of learning in this lifetime—to receive generously. I know you have stories. Let me receive a story from you; a story of what you learned from the experience traveling alongside someone you love who is scared and angry at the deterioration of mind being forced upon them.
Growth. Ugh. I’m in a period right now that is challenging. But I know this also means it’s a period of growing stronger even though life feels like one unwelcome weed I just want to stomp on. I know I’ll come out blooming on the other side. xo
For me, watercolor + brush lettering = paradise. I would never have guessed it would become such a regular guest at my worktable. This sparkly new book by Kathy Glynn (@artsycanvasgirl) has been fueling my inspiration the last couple weeks and in a blog post this week (eek, it had been a while!) I shared about the book and some projects. ToniaJenny.com/blog
