The strangest thing happened as we moved back into this super packed campground for the last time this season. I never bother with the views here, because we're not here for the views. We're here for the free camping in the middle of Las Vegas. 😁 Neighbors are inches from your door, but they're friendly and we have unlimited amenities. BUT when we pulled in the other day, I was EXCITED to check out my view of the sky, because I've been watching my gratitude video every morning and appreciating my views of the sky. While Lake Mead was breathtaking, I knew I still had a lot of sky to see here. As a huge bonus, I could see a sliver of mountains all around and I honestly appreciated that little peek of the peaks! We're not here for the views, but my attitude has shifted so much over the past few months, that I love the views. Yes, there are hundreds of RVs sardined in here, but if you look up, the sky is plenty gorgeous. I always say everything is about perspective, but my view has been something I either appreciated or didn't like at all. Now my perspective's changed on that, I can always appreciate the sky at least. Unless we're parked under trees of course! 😆
I love this quote so much! 💕 I’m a people-watcher and am always curious about why some seem to attract so much chaos, while others in very similar situations don’t. This seems like the perfect explanation.
This is our favorite view of Las Vegas, from afar. 😁 It’s so much more than The Strip and it’s surrounded by so much beauty! The city offers everything you can imagine (and way too much more). The people watching is insane. AND the mountains offer an escape from all that anytime! 💕 All that and all you have to do is ignore one street?! Though the people watching there is worth a trip. 😆 #lasvegas #redrock #climbing
Lizzy (19) has moved out and now lives in Las Vegas! What?! The Lundy 5 is down to 3. What?! 😮 When she packed up, she said all of her earthly possessions were now in her car. I asked her how that made her feel. She said like she didn't have very much stuff. 😁 How do we feel? We're not sure yet. Proud and excited for her, weird and sad for us. Focusing on the immediate, it's moving day so I have to do all her jobs and mine!! 😝 We've been easing into this transition for months and in typical Lundy fashion, we ripped off the bandaid last night and moved her out. She has a great place to live, good friends, and is in the big city she craved. Plus, it's surrounded by the mountains we crave!! We'll stick around Vegas for a few more days to be sure she's all set, then we're free to roam about the country - with just the three of us!
