Ever wonder how you get those dreamy golden hour photos on your wedding day? I’ll let you in on a little secret... You plan for it! Add time into your wedding day timeline to sneak away from your reception to get those romantic sunset photos. 💖 Your wedding is so much more than just a party. It is the beginning of something new! Two hearts, two lives, two families, all becoming one! It’s the first day of your marriage, your legacy. By the time your reception rolls around, you’ve already married your Prince Charming and it’s time to share your first meal as husband and wife, surrounded by the people that mean the most in the world to you! But after things settle down, it’s nice to have a moment or two alone. 💖 Sometimes it's easy to get lost in all the pretty little details. And as much as we love them and they help bring so much personality to your wedding, at the end of the day the most important thing is that you are marrying your best friend! Everything else is just the icing on the wedding cake 😉It's not that often in life that all the people who are important to you gather around to celebrate you! So be sure to make it a day you will all remember, but don't stress yourself out too much. If you are someone who would rather not even have to worry about the details, my biggest tip for you is to hire a wedding planner who will take care of all of that for you! One of my goals on your wedding day is to bring peace and eliminate stress but a wedding planner will bring your vision to life and keep everything organized! You, and your photographer, will be so happy you made that investment for your best day ever! If you need a recommendation, I know some pretty amazing people! 💖 I still have select dates open for weddings in the winter of 2019 and have already started booking out 2020! Request info at the link in my bio! I would love to chat about your love story and all the fun wedding details! 💖
We made it through another Monday friends! Who’s ready to crush this week and live the life of your dream?? 🙋🏻♀️ I know I am! After a low key weekend with my husband not feeling too well and watching too many episodes of New Girl, I’m excited for taking care of stuff this week, hanging out with friends, and heading to LA this weekend for a very special wedding!! 💖 But tell me, what’s something you’re excited about this week??
“Steal a little kiss!” I always try to get my couples to relax and have fun during their engagement sessions! Even if that means being a little silly but I’d rather that than leaving them wondering what to do and I always let them know how great they are doing because a little encouragement goes a long way! I know what it’s like being on the other side of the camera and it can be intimidating!! But when you feel comfortable and are having fun, it makes the whole experience different! And when you’re confident and relaxed, it creates photos with real emotion and a true reflection of who you are as a couple! That’s always my goal when I go into a session!! 💖 Happy Friday loves! I hope you’re week was awesome! What’s everyone up to this weekend??
Happy Birthday to the boy who lived and to the woman who gave him to us⚡️🍰 I love how JK Rowling has brought together so many people through her creation of Harry Potter! His story moves so many of us, even after all this time! ✨always✨ Today I celebrated by treating myself to a Butterbeer frap! One of these days, I want to have a HP party with a movie marathon and all kinds of treats and a Hagrid came 😂😅🙈 Which one of the movies is your fav??
While white gowns and flowy veils are the traditional wedding outfit, be sure to put your own style and personality into your bridal look! Incorporating your favorite color or type of shoe or a little nod to something that makes you happy will really help make you feel comfortable and confident on your wedding day when all eyes are on you. My something new was my silver heels that I now wear for every anniversary date. My something old was a broach from an antique sale. My something borrowed was a Mickey Mouse tennis bracelet from my best friend. And my something blue was a silk ribbon in my favorite color that also showed up in the rest of our wedding decor. Almost 11 years later, while there are many things I would do differently now, these are all things that I still love and am wanting to incorporate into our anniversary session. And that's one of the special parts of your wedding day details. They really do help to tell the story of your wedding day and create a lasting legacy for years to come! 💖 I absolutely love the Best Day Ever bracelet by @lillianandco as a bridal detail and I would for sure have worn it on my wedding day! It's such a fun way to incorporate my love for Disney and is a great reminder of the first day of your marriage and to make each and every day after the best one ever! 💖 Be sure to check out the link in my profile to get some Disney inspired jewelry from @lillianandco and use SSPDREAMERS for a discount at check out #ad
This past weekend was filled with beautiful views, great company, and lots of laughs! All the things that fill my quality time love language. And more than that, being out of the normal day to day of life provides so much inspiration and a fresh outpouring of creativity! We went wine tasting at @wisevillawinery and had the opportunity to hear the owner share about his process of making wine and learning about all of it was pretty incredible! You can tell how much passion and heart goes in to all they do there and we had such a great time! Their innovation and pursuit of excellence was so inspiring! So here to fresh inspiration and a willingness to learn something new! 🥂 What’s inspiring you lately?
Happy Wedding Wednesday! One piece of advice I have for couples planning their wedding is to schedule time to just be together! Having all your family and friends together to celebrate you two is so special, but it can be a little overwhelming. I love when couples take a few moments out of their wedding day after saying “I dol to just be together! A wedding day can be the most beautiful and emotional day but it's so important to take time to be with your newlyweded husband and remember why it is you are there and how much love you both share! These are some of my favorite moments to capture! I love asking my couples to remember what it felt like walking down the aisle or when they said I do! It makes for such an intimate part of your best day ever to just reflect on the memories you've made! Plus it makes space for your photographer to capture some tender moments that you will cherish forever as the legacy of your marriage begins! 💖 What do you think of those types of photos? Do you prefer candid, intimate, natural looking images? Or more traditional posed ones? 💖 Also, I wanted to share my newest promo! For all weddings booked within the next two weeks, mention this post to receive an additional $100 album credit for free! Request more info at the link in my profile and let’s chat about your wedding!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary to these beautiful souls!!! Nikol and Aaron, I can’t believe it’s been a while year since your incredible wedding at @foresthouselodge I hope this last year was amazing and that the years ahead are even more magical!
There is something so clean, timeless, and romantic about bouquets of white flowers and lush greens! Florists have such a wonderful gift of being able to put together such beautiful creations and when they bring your vision to life, it's pure bliss!! Brides, choose a florist who's work and style you adore! It's amazing how much it helps in the overall design process! Do you prefer colorful bouquets? Or all one color? Long flowy ribbons? Or no ribbons? I am still obsessed with this bouquet that @cocorosedesign made for our 10 year wedding anniversary! I wanted something reminiscent to my wedding day bouquet and it turned out better than I could have imagined!! And it looked so beautiful in our anniversary photos by @jameswitty & @jessfairchild 💖
To all who come to this happy place; welcome... Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world. — Walt Disney 💖 Happy 64th Birthday to my happy place!! Thank you for all the good times & amazing memories and for the joy & inspiration you've brought into my life! Some of my @disneyland favorites include: Sleeping Beauty's Castle, Fantasmic!, churros, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Storybook Canal, the music on Main Street, Gibson Girl waffle cones, the Indiana Jones ride, New Orleans Square, Little Red Wagon corn dogs, Star Tours, Space Mountain, the fireworks, and Mickey caramel apples! 🏰🍨🍗🎆 What are some of your Disneyland favs?? 💖 Well my dear friend, if you made it this far, yay! I have something very exciting to share with you! After dreaming of this day for over a year, my idea has finally become a reality! And on Disneyland’s Birthday, it seemed appropriate to launch it! I have shared my Disney photography with you as a way to connect with fellow Disney lovers and honestly that’s one of the things I love about this company. I have also shared my Disney photos to help bring some magic and joy into the world but also because at the top of my dream list is to photograph #disneybrides and @disneyweddings While I will continue to share my images and adventures here, I also wanted to have my own little space solely dedicated to my love for Disney! And thus, my Disney Instagram account was born! If you want more Disney photos and info in your life, I’d love it if you followed me over at @sarahs_grotto where, just like Disneyland, my hope is that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world and to encourage people to live each day as their best day ever!
This is my beloved. This is my friend! 💖 I love seeing couples that madly in love with their best friend! Eli and I were and are best friends first. This helps us to have a strong foundation for our relationship and tackle every obstacle as a team. It also helps us to stay connected and laugh! 💖 Bring best friends is a common trait that I see in my #sspcouples and it makes me so happy! There is an added level of closeness, connection, comfortability, and you can tell that they don’t take themselves too seriously which also brings up the level of fun during our photo sessions! 💖 Whether you were friends before you started dating or you became best friends as you fell in love, remember to cultivate that relationship just like you would an other friendship. Being best friends means championing them, standing up for them, protecting them, listening to them, respecting them, and all the things you’d do for a best friend! Except of course you get to make out with your significant other best friend 😉 💖 What’s something that you do to cultivate your friendship with your spouse/soon to be spouse?
