One of my favorite things about wedding days is that there is so much love and happiness in the air! Good vibes only! You are marrying the man of your dreams and you both are starting the legacy of your marriage! Your friends and family are all there to celebrate with you and champion your future. And when else will practically everyone you both care about be all together, celebrating the two of you?? Its all so wonderful and heartwarming 🥰 I am always so honored to be able to capture my couples best day ever and to create lasting heirlooms that they will cherish for always! 💖 I still have some 2019 wedding dates available and am starting to book 2020 brides as well! If you or someone you know is getting married, I would love to hear more about your story and your wedding day! Fill out the form in my bio or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org to get more information and to set up a consultation!
I was planning on posting something today about it being tax day with some “death and taxes” reference to Brad Pitt in Meet Joe Black and thank the good Lord for our awesome cpa who makes this day so much easier for us, but then the news of Norte Dame catching fire consumed my mind for the entire day. I received so many texts from friends and family asking if I had heard the news. I was in tears for most of the day as my heart broke for my favorite city. The Cathedral of Norte Dame is such a beautiful, historic, symbol of Paris. I can’t believe that just two months ago, we got to visit this monument and I cried as we walked the grounds and marveled at the beauty inside. Even hearing the bells of Norte Dame brought tears to my eyes. I will never forget how it felt to be there and to experience such a renowned piece of history. My heart is with the city of Paris and her people today. Praying for the firefighters and that the damage isn’t as bad as it looks.
Happy Anniversary Disneyland Paris!! 27 years of magic and I finally got to experience it myself this year!! I’m obsessed with your pastel colors, stunning landscapes, French treats, and the prettiest castle you ever did see! Je t'aime @disneylandparis I miss you and I hope you see you again real soon! 🏰 Have you ever been to an international Disney park? If not, which one would you want to visit? I want to see all of them some day!
Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind.” Happy #nationalsiblingsday 💖 You can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your siblings! Here’s to the ones who grew up to be friends! 💖 To all my siblings, I love you and I miss you! Thanks for going through this crazy thing called life with me 😅 Check out my insta stories later for some throwbacks 😂
We had each other, then we had you, and then we had everything. 💖 I’m so excited for my sweet friend Ann and her husband Michael as they are preparing to become parents and bring their little princess, Zoey, into the world! We had such a fun time at the lake taking their maternity photos over the weekend and it made me think of all the adventures and fun that they will have as a family of three!! Congrats again you guys!!
Ever have one of those Monday’s that make you wish it was a Friday with pink doughnuts and glossy magazines?? Yeah me too 🤪 This weekend flew by way to fast and I ended up having unexpected car problems that caused a domino effect and I wasn’t as productive as I had hoped to be... but here’s to a productive week and to making more progress on our goals! Who’s with me?? 💖 It’s busy seasons like now that make me ever more thankful for my amazing CRM @mydubsado for managing the backend of my business and keeping everything organized so that I can meet with my couples and spend more time behind the camera! 📷 Let me know if you’re interested in hearing more about the software that revolutionized my business and for a discount code for you to start with!
Don’t just fly, soar!! Last night Eli and I went to see the new Dumbo movie and I loved it! I had heard lots of mixed reviews about it. Some people said it was too dark and not meant for kids. And while I think that’s true, I still think it was really good! First of all, it was directed by Tim Burton, and secondly it does has some darker themes. I feel like it was made for people who grew up watching the animated version and wanted to see the story come to life. While I probably wouldn’t suggested it for little kids, it was really cute and had some moments where I got a little choked up! And Dumbo was such a sweetheart! I loved the message of believing in yourself and in the impossible and how we can get through anything with the love of our family and friends! 🎪 Have you seen it yet? If so, what did you think?
Your wedding day is one of the most special times of your life!! But one thing I always tell my couples is to not let the planning of your best day ever interfere with investing in your happily ever after! What I mean by this is, don’t get too caught up in the stress of wedding planning that you forget to make time to enjoy each other and to have fun!! Make sure to plan dates where you don’t talk wedding plans, but instead dream of your future together and what you want the legacy of your marriage to look like! 💖 Eli and I recently established core values for our marriage and while they have always been things we valued, we never realized how putting them into words and constantly reaching for those things would benefit our relationship! And the thing that is so fun about these core values is that yours will look different from ours! While we might value pursuing arts and culture, you guys might feel most fulfilled in nature or at sporting events! There’s no wrong answer! Just like every person is unique, so is every couple! 🙌🏻 What’s one of your values? I always love hearing what brings you to life!
130 years later and the Eiffel Tower is still as beautiful as ever! It was originally only supposed to be there for 20 years but luckily they decided to keep it up indefinitely making it now one of the most recognized monuments in the world! So here’s to the Iron Lady! 130 never looked so good! Until we meet again... To celebrate I think I’ll make some homemade crepes and watch a French movie. How’s your Sunday been??
For today’s #fridayintroductions I thought I would share a little about me and my husband @elischweyer because 1) he plays such an important role in my life and business, and 2) he’s out of town this weekend for a gig and I kind of miss him a little... You see, we pretty much grew up together at the church where we met, although I don’t remember the first thing he said to me. We were 8 & 12 and he was friends with my brothers. We went to the same high school but because of our age difference, we weren’t there at the same time. We were both on the worship team and would go on missions trips and camp together, and around that time we became best friends. I remember the exact spot at camp where we talked about our dreams for the future together under a giant oak tree. And sometime after that we fell in love at 18 & 22, a full 10 years later. If I could go back to those days and tell him that today, I’d be writing about how much I loved him, how far we’ve come, and that he would be across the country living out those dreams, I know he wouldn’t believe me! One of the things I’ve always loved about him is his passion for his music and his focus on his dreams! It’s inspired me to step out and reach for my dreams too! 💖 Moral of the story, find someone who inspires you and encourages you to be the best version of yourself! And be willing to be silly and have fun together! This life is so short and I want to know that I lived it well! 💖 What crazy dreams are you believing for?? Let me know so that I can cheer you on too! 💖 Special thanks to @jameswitty & @jessfairchild for these photos of us living our best lives in Paris! 💖 Ps check out my insta stories a little later for a peek at what he up to today! Hurray for technology and the fact that I got to watch the live stream of their set! 🙌🏻
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?? I loved everything about Paris and can’t wait to go back!! We spent open to close at Versailles and still didn’t see it all, and same with the city so we will have to go back! But I’d also love to see more of Europe like Vienna, Italy, England, Spain, as well as Israel, Egypt, and many other places. So much to see but so little time! 🌎✈️
Did you know that your wedding invitation sets the tone for your entire wedding day?? It’s the first detail your guests receive and is a glimpse of what you envision for your best day ever!! Today’s #weddingwednesday tip is to keep a copy of your invitation suite for your photographer to capture during the details part of your wedding day! Most florists will throw in some single flowers to be styled with the suite and it’s such a lovely way to remember the thought and planning that went into creating your special day. Plus it will look beautiful at the beginning of your wedding album as it helps tell the story of your day. Plus who doesn’t love receiving pretty mail?? 💌
