Safe to say it's been a pretty testing couple of weeks since having to get back to work, following 4 weeks off (not earning any money) 🤦♂️. Pretty much everything I have touched has gone t*ts-up... starting with a shower screen exploding in my hands, through to leaking bypass valves, wonky tiles (standard nowadays), out of square buildings, ASHP breakdowns, missing materials, having to modify expensive sanitaryware so it actually fits together, etc, etc, and culminating in me destroying my bicep whilst attempting to lift a mega-heavy bath one handed 🙄 which it is likely that I'll need surgery on to reattach my bicep, and I'm probably gonna be out of work for a while 🤦♂️ Once upon a time where I would have allowed my stress-levels to go through the roof, and I would be struggling to cope right now. However, there are so many things i have in my life that I am grateful for, and I know how lucky I am that my family and friends are all safe and well. Sure, the next few weeks/months are going to tricky, but we should all conscious of the fact that there are people who are far worse off out there, and their struggle is very, very real. And the fact that today is the 75th anniversary of VE allows a little more perspective on that I reckon. .
