Day 13 - Last day of our trip. Waking up in San Fran looking out at the bay. Golden Gate shrouded in clouds. Took the girls for a walk around. The Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, the Painted Ladies, Full House. Then over to Golden Gate Park before heading home. Such wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. ❤️
Day 12 - After leaving Portland the feeling that this wonderful trip was coming to an end started to set in. Mostly gratitude for this precious time with my family and for all the things we'd experienced. We stayed in Crescent City and ate at this delicious little spot before heading out in the morning. It was a long day of driving but we stopped in the Avenue of the Giants to explore a little and then found a creek for the kids to play (yes in their clothes which they loved.) There's a reason I remember liking road trips. So many places to see, and eat, adventures to have, and fun times with family in the car, even when it's alternated by pouting, screaming, whatever. You get through it and you look out the window at a view you've never seen before and in CA and the PNW those views take your breath away. 😍
Day 11 - Leaving Portland. Got to see one of my best friends from college, Amy. Always good to catch up. ❤️ Headed down the southern Oregon Coast and back into California. Reya had been asking for tide pools the whole trip and the tide schedule was always off. We found this little beach on our drive down. We all had a lot of fun exploring. This trip helped me get back into that childlike curious mindset after a stressful school year. Grateful to be able see and learn about the world through their eyes and my own. ❤️
Day 10 - Staying on the Oregon Coast. Cannon Beach (You're such a goonie!). Exploring Downtown Portland. Powell's Books 📚 and Voodoo Doughnut 🍩.
Day 9 - Oceanview swimming at Second Beach Pool. Leaving Canada 😢. Headed down to the Oregon Coast. 😍
Day 8 - Full day in Vancouver. Took a long, fun bike ride around the park. I pulled Lola in a trailer 🚴🏽♀️ and my legs were burning by the end (I have no idea how to ride a bike with gears 😂) but it totally made me want my own bike. Finished it up with dinner in the city (endless delicious food options - we all picked something different) and a sunset hike in West Vancouver at Lighthouse Park. All in all an amazing day. 🇨🇦😍🇨🇦😍
Day 7 - One week ago, entering Canada, and on to...Vancouver. LOVED this city. 🇨🇦❤️
We arrived home early this morning after our 13-day road trip! Grateful to have spent so much QT with the fam even if a good majority included refereeing the back seat 😉. So much beauty to see. Lots of places now on our list for a return visit. Here's Day 6 - Ferrying from Bainbridge, Seattle, our awesome AirBnB near Greenlake, and best of all seeing my lil cousin @rawrchelle ❤️
