I spent an afternoon in October collecting leaves in my street, much to my neighbours amusement! 😆 They understood that I wasn’t doing the community a service by clearing up the leaves, they knew I’d been struck with inspiration. 💡 So, I think it was worth having these leaves hanging round my studio, covered in bugs and mini spiders 🥴 My idea is complete, my itch is scratched, (that’s what it’s like when I get an idea!) I’m so fortunate to now have this space I can at last be creative in! 🍁 All the leaves are gone from my studio, time for more inspiration!
Well, welcome to a new week! How was your weekend? 🎁 Weekends are always my busy time, this one was no exception with Andys birthday and a Wedding fair at @sarova.hotels The Bull Hotel in Gerard’s Cross. I’m starting the week shattered but satisfied! 🏝 Anyway, I had to post this photo! My Bride and Groom are on their honeymoon somewhere warm and exotic, I’m friends with them on Facebook and I’m being teased by the fabulous photos of them having a ball! 👠 They both had statement shoes for their special day, don’t you just love Mary’s green sparkly shoes? ❤️
Happy birthday to my Husband Andy! He’s responsible for so many wonderful things in my life! He’s a second shooter for me, getting the shots that wouldn’t be caught if he wasn’t there, he is also fabulous at fluffing Wedding gowns perfectly, he’s in charge of magical flying veils! He built my fantastic studio single handed, and it’s changed my life! Most important though, he is the Father to our children, and our family is so precious, we are each other’s best friends, what more could you want out of life? Happy birthday Andy! 😍
It started with the engagement shoot, then came the beautiful Wedding, and then little Arthur came on the scene... 🤱 I love getting to know my couples and clients, and I am probably guilty of running my business a little differently to others in my industry, and maybe getting personal with clients is not the 'professional' way to conduct my business. ❤️ Well, call me 'unprofessional' then! I will never change, it's the relationships that I build and always have that keep me in love with what I do, I really do believe that love makes the world round! 🌍 And right now, I am really loving what I do, especially when I see a story like Harriet and Jon's here unfold in front of my eyes, what a special thing to be involved in! So, yes, I will break the rules, and I thank all the lovely people that have believed in my creativity enough to book me to record their special moments.... 🙏 Anyone else like breaking rules and doing it your own way?
So, you may know me as a Wedding Photographer, but last year Andy, my Husband gave me the greatest gift of all... my studio! So, I now shoot portraits too, actually I always have, I just haven’t had a space to do it in! So, 2019 looks to be an exciting year where I can be doing all that I love and more! My working life is going to be busier and more varied this year I guess! You may have already noticed my mix of photos I post here now? I’m ready for 2019 and all the promise it holds... what’s new for you this year?
Back to studio shoots today, people not pets, and editing.... lots of editing! Videos, Weddings and portraits, will I ever catch up? 😂 This is Bertie, his Mummy brought him in for a fine art shoot before Christmas as a festive surprise for his Daddy, isn’t he just the cutest? 😍
