Anyone else trick their kids into eating extra veggies by hiding them in smoothies? (Spinach and carrots are my favorite to blend with fruit). The boys asked why this “strawberry” smoothie was green and without missing a beat, my husband told them that the strawberries didn’t have any artificial color🤷🏻♀️ 2 glasses each later and I guess it worked. #mommingsohard
I like to call this, “Child senses mom is about to do something relaxing.” #lifeofamom #neveralone
Friday flashback to Jack’s first and only snow storm in 2014. That snowsuit, those cheeks, and the little mittens give me all the feels❤️😭 I’m beyond giddy about the 9 inches of snow that’s coming down right now as I type this! #snowedin #memorymaking
“Who run the world?”👸🏿🦸🏻♀️👩🏼🔬👩🏾🚀 This shelf @skylarkbookshop was FULL of books by and about women who are changing the status quo. As a #boymomma it’s easy to pass these books up and head straight to Where’s Waldo. Don’t get me wrong, we love trying to find that stripped guy on a page so busy it will make you dizzy. But it’s also important to read those “books about girls,” and teach your boys that while Waldo is fun, fighting for justice and equality is pretty damn cool.
Things I like about Winter... ❄️Sweaters that hide all evidence of the holiday goodies consumed ❄️Adorable faux fur Pom Pom hats ❄️Super bowl snacks If I ever doubted it, I’d definitely say I’m more of a Summer person😎 What about you? Using emojis, tell me your favorite season. And just in case you’re a Summer fan like me, today on the blog I’m sharing our Winter Bucket List to get us through this season. Link in bio.
When this quote popped up on my Pinterest board I was 🤣🤣 🤣 As you start a new week, remember to not let other people’s drama and negativity derail you from your goals. #punny🤦🏻♀️ And if you haven’t already, be sure to check the blog for our weekend recap. Link in bio.
When Cristin from @thesouthernstyleguide tells you to buy these $10 @amazonfashion “beauty goggles”😂, you buy them in two colors🕶 Link to glasses in my bio. #notafashionblogger #affordablefashion
Although it didn’t end up on my resolutions list, I definitely want to feed more goats in 2019🐐 To see what DID make the cut, head over to the blog to read my goals for 2019. Link in bio. #midwestblogger #goatlover
After almost two weeks off, today’s our last day at home before heading back to school and work tomorrow. I’m so thankful for the time we’ve had together, but man will it be nice to go more than 5 minutes without a tiny human shouting “MOOOMMMM!”🙄 Speaking of thankful, Chinet sent me their Cut Crystal Collection to try out and these disposable cups were a lifesaver during the holidays. Not only were they pretty and well made, it also meant I didn’t have to do nearly as many dishes🙌🏻 #MyChinetParty #ChinetxInfluenster #contest #complimentary @MyChinet @Influenster
2018. You were a good year. Not perfect, not without trials, but good nonetheless. This was the year I set goals and actually accomplished them. I followed through and did things I used to only talk about. It was the year I focused on all I had to be grateful for. Not coincidentally, it was also a year filled with so much laughter and joy. Now before you start to roll your eyes, know that I’m not telling you this to #humblebrag (although I am super freaking proud of myself). I’m telling you these things because 365 days ago I was not the person I am now. And in 365 more days, I hope to be an even better version of who I am today. I know the idea that you can create a life you love sounds hokey and full of crap. I know how easy it is to make excuses and blame other people for your unhappiness. I know what it feels like to make the same resolutions year after year or not set goals because you think you’ll fail. But guess what? You will fail. You’ll make mistakes. Go ahead and accept that right now. There are times when you’ll eat an entire cheesecake leaning over the kitchen sink. You’ll yell too harshly at your children. You’ll resent your partner for things out of their control. And you may even find yourself blaming God for the lack of answers to your deepest prayers. Yes, you will fail. But you are not a failure unless you CHOOSE to be one. So CHOOSE to start instead. Set those goals. Believe that you can do and walk through hard things. I can’t wait to see everything you’ll accomplish in the next 365 days❤️ #madeformore #newyearresolutions
