Making lampshades started as a fun need for us. We had a big living room and there was no provision for a chandelier on the ceiling... which to this day we would love to have. Given that we were on the top most floor, we didn't want to drill holes and get into leaky issues. That's when we decided to have a floor lamp. Since we were already DIYing most of our stuff, we decided to make our own floor lamp. With absolutely no idea we began working on the floor lamp with wooden sticks. It took me three days to build the frame which today takes only about 30 mins. This is how the first lampshade frames were and we used it in our living room. Very amateur. But made us mighty proud. Why all this today? Just throwing back on some thursday memories.
