Even though today is Valentine’s Day, it’s only the beginning of our love filled weekend. Tomorrow John and I are heading up to New Jersey to be there for two of our best friends as they tie the knot! This will be the first wedding that we will be in together until our own of course haha . . . So be sure to spread the love today and pig out on plenty of wine and chocolate #priorities
I absolutely love hearing couples “how they met stories”, which is why it’s one of the first questions I ask when we initially meet. It sounds simple but in order for me to tell your story, I obviously need to know where it all began. Like where they went on their first date, was it a dream and you immediately fell in love or was it so terrible you had to have a friend come rescue you!? For our first date, John took me to Matthews pizza in Highland town and it was AMAZING! At the time he had no idea how perfect his choice was because I would rather go grab a beer and pizza than go to a fancy restaurant any day! Where was your first date?!?
Who else is exhausted today?! Between the ups and downs of the Superbowl and then the emotional roller coaster that is This is Us, today should have been a national holiday! Here is something that is sure to make this struggle of a Monday better. Ashley and Will's birth announcement blog post (link in bio) is up on the blog today, it's sure to make you smile! With the season finale just days away, I definitely have “This is Us” on the brain. Could this “Jack and Rebecca” like moment be any cuter!?! When Ashley asked me to be a part of her birth announcement shoot in her beautiful new kitchen, I jumped at the chance! I’ve been dying to do an at home session and could not have been more excited to help these guys tell the world their happy news!
Friday is so close but yet so far......the struggle is real!
“Our love is like that of the ocean and the shore; no matter how endlessly the rocks or waves try to keep them apart, the ocean always finds a way to wrap itself around the shore” . Alicia & David’s breathtaking waterfront wedding is up on (link in bio) the blog today, be sure to check it out!
There is nothing more beautiful than a bride’s glow on her wedding day. Everything she had envisioned and all of the hard work finally comes to life. So shout out to all my brides out there! Even if you're stressed or worried, just remember in the end it’s all worth it. And I’m right here with ya, I’ve had a few wedding planning melt downs myself haha
Just something pretty to brighten up your week! And who else is super excited for spring and things to start blooming!?!
One of my favorite moments of a wedding day is when I’m doing bridal portraits with just the couple. Slowly, you can watch as all of their worries melt away. Even though it may have been stressful getting there, for that moment, nothing else matters anymore! Being able to capture this moment for couples, helps to remind me what really matters while I’m planning my own wedding. It is so easy to work yourself up about the small details when they don’t go your way. Just remember to take deep breaths and always have wine on hand!
