In love with Fausett Farms Sunflowers!! More than 13 acres of sunflowers amongst the gorgeous backdrop of the North Georgia Mountains. It’s minutes from Burt’s so hit up both in one trip! It’s $10 per car to enter and you can buy sunflowers for $1 each. Horse pulled wagon rides are also available for $5 per person!
From now through October, we will be soaking up fall at all the pumpkin patches, apple orchards and festivals! Overcast and breezy today so it was the perfect morning for @burtsfarm! We had so much fun meandering through the gigantic pumpkins, filling the wagon with as many pumpkins as we could fit and going on the best hayride (which ends with a great view of Amicalola Falls!)
The best week in Daufuskie Island! We’ve been coming here since I was 17 and discover new treasures on this island every visit. Daufuskie is only accessible by ferry and is about a 45 minute ferry ride from Hilton Head. Everyone gets around the island by golf cart and it feels like your own little island because it’s quiet and never crowded. We dined at Lucy Bell’s and Old Daufuskie Crab Co, visited the farm, Silver Dew Pottery and School Grounds Coffee, saw lots of dolphin, gorgeous sunsets and spent hours at the pool and beach. Will have a blog post up soon where I’ll share about the unique history of the island, all the things to do and how to book your trip!
Spent the past four days in Salt Lake City, Utah and if you’re planning a trip out west, add this city to your list! SLC has fun ways to get around town (we used a scooter!), a variety of authentic dining options, and a gorgeous backdrop of mountains painting the town. A few of my favorite spots were Cupla, an underground coffee house, Pulp for açaí bowls and Monkeywrench, a small-batch vegan ice cream shop. I was in town for a leadership trip I earned through Young Living and we ventured down to one of their farms in Mona for the day where we were able to plant, distill and participate in the farming experience - and even take home some lavender seedlings! Whispering Springs Lavender Farm is a family friendly farm with over 1,400 acres of fragrant herbs, a reservoir, lots of animals (including elk, camels and horses) and a breathtaking view of mountains from every direction. You can take a distillery tour, go on a wagon ride or paddleboat cruise and there are even a couple rides for the kids. The farm has fun annual events too! SLC is just over a 3 hour flight from Atlanta and in addition to Mona, it’s also not a far drive from Park City which offers amazing skiing in the winter!
