So. My YouTube channel was supposed to launch last week. Last minute, I decided to push the launch back a week to tomorrow, Wednesday, at 5 pm Pacific. Although not all, a large portion of my audience is college-age and I know a lot of you guys were in finals last week, so I think this is a better week to launch. I used to be someone who planned excessively and a lot of the times, I still am. But finding peace in re-evaluating, rescheduling, and rerouting has been something I’m becoming more and more comfortable with. 💙
This time yesterday, I had just finished my first @soulcycle ride ever. I usually work out by myself at home which is the most cost effective and time efficient, but there’s a magical energy that occurs while being in a dark room full of strangers all moving to the same beat of the music, pushing themselves mentally and physically to better their wellbeing. Thanks for taking me, @meganmunroe. 🧡
My YouTube channel launches this weekend and I’m really excited and nervous about it. This photo and the past few photos I’ve been sharing on here are a clue to what the first video is about. Any guesses?
Sunny but cold.
Thanks so much for your sweet words about my Fruit Salad blog rebrand. It feels so good to share what I’ve been working on with you and see everything I’ve envisioned for the past few months come to life. I’m super excited for launch no. 2 coming at you next week: The Fruit Salad YouTube channel aka FSTV! Taking it easy on social media for the next few days to finalize the launch items, but see you next week! 💓
Hello and welcome to Fruit Salad! . Fruit Salad is the new Oh My Drifter. I’m still going to be covering the genres of personal style, lifestyle, health, and wellness, just under a new name with new branding (thanks, @roseecanfield!). I started Oh My Drifter as Drifter & the Gypsy in 2008 (my 10 year blogging anniversary was last month!), then rebranded to Oh My Drifter in 2015, but to be honest with you, it still never felt right. . One afternoon this past summer, while I was cutting up fruit, the name popped into my head: Fruit Salad! Fruit Salad has meaning to me because I pretty much eat fruit salad every day and my thoughts are very creative and scattered, like a fruit salad, but mainly sweet and positive — only occasionally do you run into a rotten piece with mold. My mom’s specialty for any dinner party is fruit salad, so some of my earliest childhood memories were spent in the kitchen with her helping her carve a watermelon basket to make a fancy fruit salad. . The Fruit Salad tagline is “Keep it sweet and make your own salad.” We all have our own thoughts, dreams, and aspirations. That’s what makes up our salad — and we should be keeping things sweet, or in other words, looking at our glass half full. If we live for others’ dreams, we’d be eating their salad which isn’t polite now, is it? . Read more about my concept behind and thoughts about the rebrand... and an even more exciting announcement about something launching next week on thefruitsalad.com!
My blog rebrand launches tomorrow and I’m really excited about it. Also making another announcement tomorrow, so stay tuned. 🙃
When you think about it, the color lilac is just periwinkle rebranded just like the hashtag is the pound sign rebranded.
Still cold from the other day when I wore this outfit.
