It was a dish that had so much to enjoy. The soft poached egg, the velvety hollandaise sauce, and the crispy bacon. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What we didn’t realize was how difficult it was to perfect each individual component. Our poached egg wasn’t perfect, but still delicious (we were just happy it did not break) and our hollandaise actually scrambled! Bacon however, was perfect! Crispy and not soggy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s amazing how a simple dish that everyone knows and probably has had can have such an effect on you. I used this dish to make myself better at poaching eggs. I used this dish to practice making hollandaise sauce.
