Tiny tips for staying healthy during pregnancy (and thriving in general 😉 ):

• Listen to your body; nourish it like you always have. Keep it simple and stick to the good stuff, you know exactly what your body needs and wants, listen to it. 

• NOTHING should hurt! Exercise should make you feel good, gently increase your level of fitness and be fun. If any exercise causes pain, stop and advise your personal trainer.

• Have a rest during exercise if you feel you need one. Remember to work at your own pace.

• It is important to take more time to warm up and cool down when you are pregnant.

Exercising through pregnancy looks different for everyone. Your body goes through so many changes that it's important to adjust your exercises to take these changes into account:

JOINTS  
The hormones made during pregnancy cause the ligaments that support your joints to become relaxed. This makes the joints more mobile and at risk of injury. Avoid jerky, bouncy, or high-impact motions.
BALANCE 
During pregnancy, the extra weight in the front of your body shifts your centre of gravity. This places stress on joints and muscles, especially those in your pelvis and lower back. 
BREATHING 
When you exercise, oxygen and blood flow are directed to your muscles and away from other areas of your body. While you are pregnant, your need for oxygen increases. As your belly grows, you may become short of breath more easily because of increased pressure of the uterus on the diaphragm (a muscle that aids in breathing). Take longer breaks when necessary and listen to your body.

Those are just a few things to account for and everyone's journey will look different, so roll with the daily, weekly and monthly changes that come your way. Move to feel good and love every second of it. 💛💛

Today was my last morning coaching my incredible Matua NIMBLE team. Some of whom have been with me for over 5 years now. 
It's been an absolute privilege training you all and if it wasn't for this little ones arrival, I never would have stopped! 💛💛
I'm spoilt to be finishing the year with my personal training clients, and look forward to creating another bootcamp family over here in Papamoa once this little one arrives. 🤰 💛

I always hear from clients that when they started training with me they could see the physical results, but it’s these other results that actually make the biggest difference in their lives!!⁣ There's so much more to movement than just the physical appearance. Get moving and start chashing in on all of these wonderful benefits. 💛💛🙌
