…the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' - Acts 20:35 ⠀ ⠀ One Crossover Basketball player recently took this verse to heart—he bought his friend, whom he noticed wore the same shirt and pants, two outfits. He then used money he had been saving to treat his family out to show them that he learned giving is better than receiving and when you receive, it's because you gave to someone else. ⠀ ⠀ We love seeing God changing these players' hearts towards others through their involvement in Crossover Basketball.
We are so excited to get started at Del Oro High School this semester with Campus Life! It has been such a blessing to continue to receive so much support as we move into the fall. What an amazing school, faculty, community, and—most importantly—group of kids!

We’re excited about Campus Life starting back up at Adelante High School! ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Each Monday before school, we’ll have doughnuts and lemonade for students.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ On Wednesdays, Campus Life lunch club will be held, where staff will be able to further connect with students and present a message about character and how to create a positive change in their lives. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ On Fridays, staff will spend lunch on the basketball courts connecting with students and just enjoying each other’s company.
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that should be called children of God, and that is what we are.- 1 John 3:1⠀ ⠀ #YFCUSA
Nevada County Campus Life, a chapter of Youth For Christ, has been directed by the same family for 36 years. In 2007, Jim and Anita Mills retired and passed the ministry down to their sons who still run the ministry with their wives and an incredible team of volunteer staff. This ministry is known for adventure and values the deep relationships that are built when kids get unplugged and into God's creation. Staff love bringing kids into places of potential where they can get to know their Heavenly Father through loving relationships, worship and the study of God's Word.
We ask you to pray God gives us ALL eyes to see kids the way God sees them! ⠀ ⠀ #YFCUSA #Pray
Over 85 students went to L.A. for YFC’s annual Southland trip! The kids visited the beach and Disneyland, but the most rewarding part of the trip was during the small group sessions we held for the kids after a short message. Staff spoke to students about having a relationship with God and several students stood to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior! ⠀ ⠀ During the four days at camp, staff witnessed students deepening their relationships with each other and with God. It was so beautiful to see!
