Happy Mother’s Day to all you beautiful and selfless souls out there!
This is one of my favorite tokens of teacher appreciation. A whole poster of notes expressing heartfelt thanks and love. My students amaze, honor, and inspire me every day!
It’s dress as your favorite novel character day at school. Can you guess which novel / characters these 7th grade girls are representing?

Mind blown by 8th grade awesomeness part 2.
Mind blown! My 8th graders created some amazing Interactive Student Notebook work these past two weeks based on the novel Nightjohn, so I’m going to blow my feed up for a bit. From chapter illustrations, to Twitter feeds, to One-Pagers, these kids can do it all! #proudteacher #sofreakincreative #stopassigningchapterquestions #showmehowyouknow
Twitter pages for The Outsiders. I love it when my 7th graders do this activity. This is a much more meaningful check for understanding than answering questions about a chapter. The hashtags are my favorite part! #dadlifeisrough #commonsense #marciadrankthecoke #idontlikebeingdrowned #sunsets
Black Out Poetry rockstars! Our school has a Word of the Week, well every week, and last week was “responsibility.” I printed off a one-page editorial about responsibility and had my students determine the theme. Their creativity and messages just blow me away! #blackoutpoetry #sjla #iteach8th #mystudentsrock #nationalpoetrymonth
Baby Bella Monkey Face. The beasty was enjoying a beautiful day of championship soccer (unfortunately E’s team lost, but it was a good game). She was tuckered out by the end of the game, hence the super sleepy face. #lifeofbella #blacklab
