I almost didn't answer my doctor’s call. That recent blood work totally slipped my mind. . When her voice rattled off a bunch of numbers. I knew it wasn't good. Will you please repeat that? I asked, as my stomach hit the floor. . I don't like negative news. You #enneagram7 ladies understand. I tried to rationalize the news. Explain it away. In the end, I opened my hands to the truth that 40 is not the new 30. . Changes are in store. I'm sharing about it in my stories this week, because it's time to live up to the words I offer you so freely. . REAL is the new perfect. I’m fine, but it’s time to make some lifestyle changes. Always we begin again! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Be Still, Laura ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #seekingthestill #messymiracle #faithblogger #thatsdarling #gritandvirtue #itiswell #sheiscalled #shereadstruth #sheworksHisway #graceupongrace #giveittoGod #soulscripts #inspiredwomen #givemejesus #lampandlight #lifelivedbeautifully #shepaintstruth #encouragementgallery #communityovercompetition #christiancreative #pursuepretty #solovelysofree #theeverydayproject #livefullyalive #illustratedfaith #calledtobecreative #t #thehappynow #bedeeplyrooted
This Sing It Sunday’s song is Hakuna Matata. I’m sure you’ve heard this upbeat song and at some point bursted out singing it. This song really got me in a happier mood tonight. I’ve had a lot of anxiety over my first day of college and just college in general. Graduating early was amazing, but has also come with a lot of pressure, anxiety, and stress. Tonight all of a sudden this song popped up in my mind and I smiled so big and thanked God for this week’s anthem because I NEEDED it! While I’m still very anxious about my first classes, I’m a little less worried, and even more excited to see what God has in store! Hakuna Matata!!! - Isabel
Today’s Sing It Sunday’s Song is Meant To Be by Bebe Rexha. Not only is this song a fun pick me up and dance song. It’s also rather calming and a reminder to just let things in life go. This is my favorite song right now! Have a great week everyone!
Today’s Sing It Sunday’s song is “You Say” by Lauren Daigle (@lauren_daigle) This song has such a powerful message. The message of even when we feel like we’re not enough or unloved that it doesn’t matter what WE say, but what HE says. He says we’re loved, worth it, held, and that we belong. We just need to believe all that God says of us. Even when we feel numb God says we’re strong with him! Have a great week everyone! -Isabel
Today’s Sing is Sunday is Mama Mia by ABBA. I recently just saw the second Mama Mia and I highly recommend it to you if you loved the first one! I enjoyed every single part of both movies. I love this song so much it’s just a reminder to take a risk every now and then! Have a great week everyone!
Lately I am obsessed with Saint Teresa of Avila, a prominent Spanish mystic, Roman Catholic saint, Carmelite nun and author in the 1500s. So much wisdom about contemplative life through mental prayer. I may or may not be bringing several of her books on vacation...just saying:) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I believe this statement is true and something about which we need to be highly aware. The good news is that there is an antidote: using your care and comforts to help others.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Be Still,⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Laura⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #seekingthestill #instagod #instalove #instajesus #instanowplaying #faith #havefaith #god #keepfaith #love #hope #time #christ #having #humanity #prayer #lostfaith #jesus #faithgod #faithhumanity #youhavefaith #grace #pray #christianity #worship #praise #jesuslovesyou #Redeemed #Saved #christian
