Today, I faced my fears and went LIVE on Instagram to talk about ‘5 Things I Wish I Knew When I Got Married.’ ⠀ 1) I didn’t need to allocate 4 hours for bridal portraits! 😳 1-2 is PLENTY!⠀ ⠀ 2) You don’t need to go to 3 locations for photos. More locations = more time in the car!⠀ ⠀ 3) I WISH I knew that I could see Sam before the ceremony, and have a First Look.⠀ ⠀ 4) It’s okay to have a slow engagement and really soak up that exciting season! We were engaged for 3 months... #stressful⠀ ⠀ 5) I wish that I’d had the wedding in ONE location. We spent a total of 4 hours in the car on our wedding day... 🤦🏼♀️⠀ ⠀ 10 years in, and I’ve helped over 150 couples not to make the same mistakes to have the wedding of their dreams 💕More on my live...did you watch it? ⠀
Couples who laugh together, LAST together.⠀ ⠀ Have you laughed with your love lately? Life can get so serious sometimes! It’s good (and healthy) to have a decent laugh together! One of my favourite ways is to reminisce with Sam and remember funny memories. Like, in the first few days of meeting each other I would constantly trip over myself. Seriously without fail! Did you watch it?⠀ ⠀ This time of year I spend a bit of time thinking about traditions- where they came from, why they’re important and whether it’s worth all the fuss to keep them.⠀ ⠀ Like any occasion, wedding traditions go back a long time. But if a wedding tradition/rule holds no meaning for you - don’t feel tied to it!⠀ ⠀ First dance, a veil, cake cutting, bouquet & garter toss, equal ratio bridesmaids to groomsmen etc... - you are under no obligation to do these things!⠀ ⠀ What wedding “rules” do you feel were made to be broken?

Did you catch my stories yesterday? A little chat all about relationships...and spending quality time together.⠀ ⠀ It’s so easy to default to tv/laptop every night, but pretty soon you’ll realise you don’t talk anymore. I’ve been there and it’s not healthy!⠀ ⠀ We have to be so intentional with protecting our relationship by making time for each other. What’s been the highlight of your week? This week has been a good one! Monday: 🎥 + 🍷with girlfriends (we saw ‘A Star Is Born’ have you seen it? Did you cry??), made it to the gym x3 🏃🏼♀️, listened to an inspiring talk with @mrspress for a @theleaguewomen event & made some new biz buddies 💃🏼, sushi with my babies 🍣, and loving this ☀️. I’d rate this week a solid 8.5. What’s your number this week?
**PERSONAL POST**⠀ I debated whether I should share this...but I want to for three reasons. One, it’s something I’m excited about, two, I’m mindful of not painting a perfectly polished picture of ‘perfect Instagram life’ and three, I think it could be valuable for some of you. ⠀ ⠀ After having my babies (Ava is 3, Tom is 1), I struggled to lose weight even though I regularly went to the gym - I wasn’t seeing results.⠀ ⠀ I knew it had to be because of what I ate. I was always finishing the kids leftovers and mindlessly snacking. Comfort & emotional/stress eating was also an area I had really started to struggle in.⠀ ⠀ I wanted to eat healthy, but I didn’t want to survive off kale and green smoothies and constantly feel hungry. I love my food!⠀ ⠀ I was introduced to @health_with_bec as a result of listening to her on the @yourcreativestart podcast. I always liked what she shared and when I saw she was offering an e-book, the 21 Day Slimdown Plan, I was tempted...but cautious.⠀ ⠀ I wondered if I could I stick to it, would it be unrealistic and hard to maintain? Regardless of my hesitations, I bought the e-book and committed to the plan.⠀ ⠀ That was over a month ago and as a result, I am 4kg’s lighter. Since following a low carb way of eating I have NEVER felt hungry or like I was depriving myself, no sugar cravings, no bloating, have more energy, clearer skin, and just generally feel so much more confident! All from eating real food, no expensive “super foods” required. ⠀ So thank you beautiful Bec, your plan has given me so much more than just weight loss. I’m excited to continue this new way of life!!⠀ ⠀ Highly recommend following @health_with_bec ✨ she is a wealth of knowledge and also has the most delicious recipes. 😋⠀ My hope is by sharing my story that it inspires someone in a similar boat to make some changes, to start their own journey to fuelling their body with the right delicious foods.⠀ And don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy 🍫🍷from time-to-time, but with zero guilt! ⠀ ⠀
Happiness is letting go of what you think your life is supposed to look like and celebrating it for everything it is.⠀ ✨⠀ These words are like smooth honey to my ears.⠀ 🍯 ⠀ It’s easy for me to reminisce about the past (pre-kids) and wish I had that endless time to work on my business.⠀ 🤦🏼♀️⠀ Truth is, with two daycare days + evenings I am so. much. more. productive than I was before having kids. Seriously sometimes I wonder what I did with all that time...! 🤔 There is so much to celebrate in your life. Right now. It’s never going to be perfect, but how boring would that be...?
