Getting packed up to head to today's stunning wedding in beautiful Arkansas!! I've been anxiously anticipating this day for MONTHS and crazy storms or sunshine, we're ready to rock and it's going to be a great one!! Buuuut I couldn't help but share another peek from last night before heading out! 😏✨ Happy Saturday, friends!
A little over a year ago I had the joy of photographing their wedding day, and tonight we celebrated the beauty a year of marriage brings. ❤️🙌🏻 (more of their fab selves in the insta story!) #jessicalaurenbride
This little camera strap right here has completely changed wedding days for me! 🙌🏻 I used to leave every wedding with awful headaches, but my @holdfastgear was a game changer, y'all. More on the blog today about one of my favorite purchases from last year!!
Live your love. // These words have been mulling around in my heart the past few days. The rubber meets the road idea that if I love Jesus, I'll live out that love every day - for real. Not sappy I smiled at the cashier stuff... anyone can do that. ;) Monday I said goodbye to prison ministry for the summer, but also goodbye to women who have become dear to my heart - some of which I'll probably never see again as they're being released before I return. You guys, the Jessica of last year would have never thought she'd know names and stories of people in a maximum security prison in the middle of nowhere Missouri. But I do now, and I couldn't be more grateful for it. I was living in a bubble - we all are, in a lot of ways. Living our lives - day in and day out - doing the same things. Work, eat, spend time with family/friends, sleep - repeat. But there is a world that is far bigger than our day to day. There are people out there who are hurting - desperate for hope & opportunity. Look around, guys. This world is tearing itself a part because people are broken and don't know what to do. Whoever says he abides in him [Jesus] ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. And what did Jesus do to fix the brokenness of this world? He loved. He literally spent all of his time with people who weren't like him. He cared for the people who were forgotten and considered the scum of the earth. Jesus came to make foolish the wisdom of this world. He came to tell people who are nothing that they are chosen, created, & cared for - beloved. He came to give life and life abundant. Oh that we would LIVE our love for Jesus. Because if we love him we'll live like him. We've had the opportunity to know love, so now it's time to BE it. I pray that my eyes are ever open to the opportunities around me to love people, because I know that I've been blind in the past (and still am, in a lot of ways). Every person is worthwhile to Jesus. Jesus came for people to experience freedom, joy, and life abundant. Because real life starts at the foot of the cross. Let's live His love, friends. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. - Jesus
Let's be real - I'm pretty positive there are few things better than a big, bear hug. 💕🙌🏻 I absolutely loved adventuring around @longrowlavender with these cuties yesterday!! Speaking of adventures - I'm headed out of town later this week for some amazing sessions and a wedding and I couldn't be more excited! What's on your agenda this week, friends?!
