Found this gem in Bintaro Avenue, an affordable Bakery & Resto with Turkic menu called Des & Dan. . I started the journey with Azeri tea & Mediterranean salad. A perfect starter, the salad is refreshingly good and the tea balanced it. The lahmacun was on point. It was a perfect 10/10. Taste so good just like the one in Turkey. Last, spaghetti with goulash. It tasted okay, reminded me how it (goulash) suppose to taste like. Since it's been a long time I haven't eaten one.
Popolo Coffee 3 20 years ago, no one wants to live in Taman Yasmin, because it's too far from Bogor downtown. But now it's so crowded. I now live within walking distance to several supermarkets and a mall. It's like living in a CBD now. Last month a coffee shop was opened just by the end of the road. Their coconut coffee is good and their lychee Yakult is refreshing. I embrace the fact that Taman Yasmin Sektor 4 is now a CBD. Looking forward to have more amusing places to be my neighbour.
Chagiya Korean BBQ I chuckled when I heard it. Because my wife sometimes calling me chagiya without my understanding. Chagiya BBQ, sometimes also referred to Little Seoul. It's famous because of the unique decoration Myeongdong lookalike. It has a wide range of Korean food and snacks. We enjoyed rabokki, bbq grill & barley and yuzu tea. It was good and have reasonable price. The place that will be dear in your heart, like it's name.
Those #CrazyRichAsians thinks Newton has the best food on the island. But this Normal Proletariat Asian thought Geylang Serai & Makansutra is better! 😂 Geylang Serai for the wide range for halal food reason and Makansutra because it's well curated. Here are some photos back when I tried famous Singapore chilli crab at Rong Guang Makansutra. 🔥👌🇸🇬
Tried the most hip coffee shop @kopi.nako in Bogor currently. On the right, Mango Lassi. Turns out it has great sour, minty, and refreshing taste. Matcha in the middle is okay. Last one is Kopi nusantara as my favourite. It's a single shot espresso mixed with coconut milk with pandan fragrance.
There are various kinds of Laksa in Southeast Asia, and Laksa Sarawak is one of them. So, what makes it different from the other Laksa? The answer is the omelette and sambal belacan ikan bilis limau. I can tell that anchovy is an important and popular ingredient in Borneo. As I've seen and eaten a lot of them here. No wonder that Borneoan are the expert on making food with anchovies. . . 📍 Sarawak Delight, Kuching
Some people said bubbor paddas Pontianak is acquired taste, not everyone gonna like it. I tried and turns out it tasted nostalgic. It's similar to bubur sup Medan, a special kind of porridge that served when it's ramadan. It's watery, lot of vegetables and abundant use of spice. From Deli to Sambas this is what being Malay tastes likes. . 📍 Bubbor Paddas Pak Ngah, Pontianak
Had a great chee cheong fun for tea time at Fook Yew. But there's not much place selling good halal che cheong fun. Any recommendations? . . 📍 Fook Yew Pacific Place
One of good places to chill in Sentul. Price is reasonable and have a lot of choice of tea. . Since it's by the lake, you can enjoy the scenery and having deep talk with your friends or family while enjoying your cup of tea. . 📍Anthology Coffee & Tea
