Heyyloooo everyone. Well it’s been a hot minute since I was here, and I’m sure half of you don’t even remember that you used to follow me!! So I’m here reintroducing myself. 👉🏻 I am just about to start my 14th year of teaching. I’ve left the life of primary behind me and I’m moving on up to high school!! 👉🏻 I teach piano/guitar in my “spare time”. Haha what is that?! I have played the piano since I was 3 years old. 👉🏻 I play netball in the winter. I absolutely love it! 👉🏻 I absolutely love dogs. The bigger the better. Cats on the other hand - I barely tolerate them. 👉🏻 I live in a total state of chaos. No matter how hard I try, I am absolutely incapable of keeping things tidy and organised. 👉🏻 Despite being completely useless at keeping things organised, I am the best at organising events!! I have run countless staff and school dos over the last 7-8 years and they were all awesome!! Today I set up my classroom. This afternoon I felt the startings of a mild panic attack (due to me overthinking something completely unrelated to school). So this evening I came to the beach a day earlier than I planned and walked for an hour. Grounding - where you physically touch the earth - is my way of getting balance back into my life. Ten years ish apart. Photo on the left is after a winter swim in the ocean 2018. Photo on the right is from summer 2008 in Singapore on my way to teach English in Bangladesh with church. Nearly a year ago we became champion bowls players. Look out Mount Maunganui, we’re heading back on Sunday for the 2018 teachers games! (If anyone is in the mount and wants to hang out on Sunday afternoon I’ll be hanging out by myself and looking for company!)
