Happy Saturday friends! Thank you for all the sweet comments on our last post. I hope to respond to back to each of them soon. I have been travelling this week for work and that throws me off my normal routine. Plus, it also takes me a few days to recover. 😂 Today, I am catching up on all the household chores and everything else I missed out on while I was gone this week. And I may also have Hallmark Christmas movies playing in the background while I am working away. To soon or not to soon?🎄🎄🎄 Have a wonderful day.❤ #farmhousestyle #modernfarmhousestyle #mybhg #mycupofjojo #interiorstyling #customfurniture #seasonsofsimplicity #simplestyledhome #farmhousedecor #southernliving #countrylivingmag
Good morning! I just wanted to take a moment to say hello and introduce ourselves. It has been a while since I have posted a picture of the both of us. I prefer to be behind the camera rather than in front of it.😉 Charles and I have been married for 18 years. We love coffee, Jesus and most of all each other. We are definitely opposites. Charles doesn't like mayonaise, ranch dressing, sour cream or cream cheese and I do. He is rational and I am emotional. We love creating together. I dream it and he builds it. However, communicating my vision is the most challenging part for me but he always delivers far beyond my expectations. We are active in church and teach Sunday school. Our faith is our first priority followed by each other. God has really blessed us and our marriage. It hasn't always been easy and we have faced many challenges along the way. Thankfully, we were able to overcome the obstacles and are stronger for it. Our goal on this little account is to provide encouragement by sharing our ideas, projects and our faith. We would like to say how much we appreciate you following along and allowing us to be a part of your day. Love and prayers! ❤ Photography by @kaylashopephotographydotcom #thecottonmillhouse
Large porches, gas lanterns 😍 and pumpkins! Just a few things from our morning walk. Have a blessed day Insta friends! ❤
Don't waste your gift by wishing for someone else's. - Steven Furtick I shared a post on the blog this week about my desire to fit in when I participated in a fall home tour. I realized that in the process I was trying to make our home into something that it was not and I became overwhelmed and stressed out in the process. I realized that what I was trying to create was not a reflection of who I was. I just wanted to fit in. In that moment, I realized that God has given me gifts and HE did not create me just to fit in. He made me to be me, unique in my own way. HE has given me gifts, talents and a voice that are specifically for me. Gifts that only I can use to serve and bring honor to HIM. Friends, God has given you gifts that are just for you. I want to encourage you today that if you are struggling with trying to fit in...don't. Be who you are and use your gifts to serve others well. Love and prayers!
Fitting In - What a fall home tour taught me. It is so easy to feel inadequate or that we don’t measure up when we are surrounded by perfection and beautifully styled photos every day. It is easy to let ungratefulness fill our heart. We have a choice to make as to whether we want to fit in or whether we want to be set apart...to use our own gifts and our own voice. Don’t let yourself be deceived by what you see but be encouraged by what you know... who you are and who lives within you because you are fearfully and wonderfully made.
