Happy B-Day to all the people born on October 17th like me 😉🎊 Best wishes to vintage @rolex buddies Giorgio Tamborini and @johnmayer👍🏼🍺
The luminous on the hands of this original Japanese owner Ref 6536/1 with rare gilt 100/330 depth rate from early 1956 is the same as the for MK1 prints have the typical brighter 6 o’clock index divers used to orientate. Besides the structure and aging the hands also light up as much as the 6 o’clock marker. So far I’ve never seen it and my first impression was that the hands might have been relumed but once using the UV light all became clear and this has been done by Rolex, maybe as special order. Interesting to say the least!
The same but different. Both have their own killer look👌🏼
1953 Everest Rolex👌🏼
The actual 1953 Mt. Everest @rolex from Major Charles Wylie that went up with the successful conquest of the British Expedition when Hillary & Tenzing ‘knocked that bastard down’! Rolex history at its best👌🏼
This huge @rolex Daytona Bible was a real game changer when it came out April 2012! The amount of cumulated knowledge and passion that came together in @puccipapaleo book is still incredible! Ahead on the market and only the finest examples where good enough to analyze in detail with incredible photo’s. Actually I dear to state that if the written content in the smaller hand held version (which most of you bought) was better readable the current prices wouldn’t seem so high at all. If the vintage watch community then would adept all this great insider info, current prices would have been even higher already. The never ending effort the Pucci&Co team (and with it many long time collectors and dealers who provide the Daytona’s) has put in to it to prepare everything over the years, made this book so special. To me personally it was the moment when vintage Rolex became art. Bravo to everybody involved to make this exceptional masterpiece🙏🏻 Link in Bio👆🏼
