April is tulip month in Amsterdam! 🌷🌷 we will exhibit over 40 tulip species, ranging from the original botanic tulips from the mountain slopes in Kazachstan to the modern cultivated popular tulips! 🌷🌷
Distinguish. That is the title of this part of our new permanent exhibition in the Glassroom, our educational space. Haworthia is a genus comprised of over 150 species. If you look closely- although they look alike- you can distinguish the differences. 🍃🍃

One of the first clear signs that the garden is getting ready for spring is a flowering Kaiser's crown! Frittilaria imperialis is part of the lily family and native to a wide stretch from Kurdistan and Iraq until Iran, Pakistan and the Himalayan foothills. 🍃🍃
