She wore her mom's wedding dress from 1984 as she vowed forever to her high school sweetheart. This wonderful couple is on the blog today and I can't say enough great things about them. They're the kind of people you just want to spend time with. They're fun, kind, thoughtful, and encouraging. I’ve never cried as much at as wedding as I did at theirs because they love others so well and that’s shown by how much they’re loved in return! - Riley proposed to Stefanie not once, but twice. The first was a prom-posal. The second was in NYC. You can find out more about their love story via the link in profile.
Every year, my sisters host a North Pole Breakfast for their kiddos. Our 5 niece and nephews have the opportunity to do Christmas crafts, watch Christmas movies, and read Christmas stories before having a huge slumber party. Then, the next morning, there is an abundance of Christmas goodies ready to be consumed. There have been Santa hat strawberries, Grinch grapes, and snowmen made out of powered donuts. Basically, if you can find a Christmas themed food item on Pinterest, my sisters have probably had it at their yearly breakfast. After breakfast, the kids write letters to Santa. My mom always has matching pajamas for her grandkids. It's pretty cute! Then, we take family photos.... - My question is: Should Dylan and I wear matching pajamas, as well? Give me a thumbs up or thumbs down in the comments! I even have a poll going in Insta-Stories right now and it looks like 97% say we totally should (and post pictures)!
These two timed their engagement photos perfectly to pick up some of the rare fall foliage here in central Texas! You can see for yourself by clicking the link in profile to find Jess & Spenser's engagement session! If you love the outdoors, you'll love their session!
What do Star Wars and Torchy’s Tacos have in common? Jess and Spenser’s wedding will feature both next year! It’s going to be such a fun day for two kind people. Until then, you can find their fall engagement session at McKinney Falls on the blog today! Link in profile. Double tap if you’re in love with Jess’s engagement ring, too! 😍😍😍
These two got to see their entire wedding gallery last night! :D
Wishing I was sipping on a Pineapple cocktail right now... It has been a week of computer problems and I'm so thankful that I'm a back-up fanatic! When we upgraded our Mac OS to High Sierra, it caused my work computer to stop talking with the monitor and required rebooting every half hour. Not fun, to say the least. This happened all last week. Then, it stopped talking with the keyboard and mouse via bluetooth. Apple said they don't support our system anymore, which was working perfectly fine until their latest upgrade. Frustrated out of my mind, I came up with a solution that has me so glad I strongly believe in back-ups. Not able to access my computer, I have a back-up laptop that I use mostly when we're traveling. Not able to access my main computer's files (read: working wedding images), I have a back-up of all our wedding images on an external drive. When the puppies knocked over the external drive (which caused it to stop working), I pulled the original files directly off the XQD and SD cards they were shot on. Those cards don't get used again until weddings are delivered. Those cards are actually on my person everywhere I go until the wedding is delivered, as well. I'm so thankful that I'm a back-up freak, because the moments we photograph don't happen twice. You don't get a do-over on your wedding day and that is something I don't take lightly. We even shoot back-ups while we photograph weddings, so we have a secondary copy of your wedding images before we ever leave your venue! Good to know, right?
We photographed our last wedding of the year yesterday and could not have picked a better couple to end our season with! These two were so joyful and genuine! Their day was filled with so many sentimental moments! I got all teary eyed at least three times and if you were there, you probably did, too. I’ll tell you what those moments were when their images hit the blog. Congratulations, Stefanie and Riley! We absolutely loved celebrating with y’all!!
Ashley and Colin got engaged while on a hike with church friends in Colorado. 18 months later, the two have tied the knot at The Milestone in Georgetown, Texas! Their destination wedding is on the blog today and if you love burgundy/wine colors paired with gold sequins, you'll love this wedding! Click the link in profile to check out all the pretty!

I'm currently uploading the SWEETEST mommy and me session EVER! I don't usually photograph these sorts of sessions, but when your favorite florist asks you to photograph her and her girls in her beautiful white-tiled kitchen as they decorate cupcakes, you say yes! It was the best half hour, too! There was a powdered sugar fight and icing tastings and cute aprons for the daughters! If all family sessions were like this one, I may be swayed to photograph more of them! - Since those photos will likely be Christmas gifts AND serve as a pretty big announcement, here's a picture of something sweet! Double tap if you LOVE Round Rock Donuts!
