Look what came in the mail today! I’m officially a Certified Professional Photographer. For a long time I thought this was not something that I needed to do. Most clients don’t care about certificates I said to myself. But I’ve been doing some goal setting lately and this seemed a worthy goal. Not going to lie, the test and the required images were hard and I had to study. Ultimately I feel I am a better photographer because of this process. I learned so much. Thanks PPA.
If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to build lasting relationships. Family and friends are a blessing and you can learn so much by getting to know someone. Enjoy the people who cross your path in whatever capacity. — Michelle's mom . . . . . #whoiamproject #erinlangfordtweens #tween #utahtweenphotographer #utahtweenphotography #tweenstagram #utahteenphotographer #utahteenphotography #dancer #dancer #modernteenstyle #tweenballet #tweenstyle #tweengirls
I enjoyed this book. I found this book super interesting. Genealogy is a subject I greatly enjoy. The author unexpectedly learns, at the age of 54, as a result of a DNA test, that the man she knew as her father was not biologically related to her. She and her husband quickly figure out that her mother became pregnant as a result of donor sperm. She then looks into the circumstances of her birth and tries to figure out if her now deceased parents knew about the donor sperm or if they were tricked by the fertility clinic etc. Apparently mixing sperm was a thing back then. She also explores her evolving thoughts about the shocking discovery and her search for her biological father. She is an excellent writer and I loved her writing style. I might want to read some of her other books now. She brings up some very interesting questions. Is she a different person now that she knows this? How does this change how she views her life? Are the ancestors she grew up revering still hers even though she now knows there is no blood relationship? Is her father still her father? Does this change how she views her religion and her faith? What kind of relationship should she have with the sperm donor? etc. It was very thought provoking. One of my daughters was conceived through insemination and I remember being so worried that there could have been a mix up with the sperm vials. I was very relieved she came out looking like her dad. Great book. . . . . #reading #goodbooks #booknerd #booklover #igreads #bibliophile #bookstagrammer #elgoodreads
