Those who won our independence believed liberty to be the secret of happiness and courage to be the secret of liberty. -Louis Brandeis Happy 4th of July!!!
A story of LOVE came up on Jetnet today with a picture of one of our union sisters at the forefront; her name is Griselda Perez. Most of us know her as “Tee Tee,” she is the President and founder of the Miami Pride Chapter. As soon as you click on the article, you begin reading her story and how many obstacles she has had to overcome to be herself, exactly as her father has always wanted her to be. She is for sure, a true leader of the LGBTQ movement not only in Miami but in the company system-wide. We encourage every member to take the time to read the article on Jetnet “One World, One Love” and congratulate our fellow union coworkers and everyone else that has contributed to the LGBTG movement. We at TWU Local 568 would like to recognize and give a special shoutout to our fellow union sisters representing the MIAMI PRIDE Chapter. Special recognition goes out to Griselda “Tee Tee” Perez, Elba “Michelle” Lara, Moya Atkins.
