Aromatherapy Yin Workshop Saturday, May 5th 1:30-3:00 pm Do you need an overall reset in body, mind & spirit? Are you preparing for the Broad Street Run? Do you just want to relax and stretch a bit? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, this workshop is for YOU! * Join Diana for a 90 minute Yin yoga practice incorporating Young Living Essential Oils to enhance the experience. The practice will focus on opening and balancing the 7 Chakras (Wheels of Energy), starting with the Muladhara (Root Chakra) and work all the way up to Sahasrara (Crown Chakra). Essential oils corresponding with each chakra will be placed on your body to provide a more relaxing and rejuvenating experience. You will gain a deeper understanding of the 7 Chakras and what part they play in your everyday life, with the goal of leaving feeling balanced and like you hit the reset button! * All levels welcome. *Limited to 15 students, so don’t wait to reserve your spot. * The Yin practice focuses on holding seated or reclined postures for an extended time to focus on the deep release of your body's connective tissues and fascia. Would you like to remove some of the fear and refine your skills in balance poses? If so, this workshop is for you! * Mindfulness helps us tune-in to ourselves and our reactions, to better understand our conditioned responses. When you bring full awareness to your experiences and your mental state, you’re being mindful. * The goal of mindfulness is not to still the mind or achieve a state of eternal peace, it is simply an act of paying attention to the present moment, with compassion, and without judgment. Yoga Therapy for Healing Saturday, March 3rd 1 - 3 pm “When the heart grieves over what it has lost, the spirit rejoices over what is left.” ~Sufi Epigram Whether you have experienced the loss of a job, a loved one, a pet, or more, there is no denying that loss creates hardship and despair. Learn to embrace grief and integrate the pain graciously into your life through the healing powers of yoga and meditation. Through a heart opening practice, story sharing, and guided meditations, you’ll discover how to sit with your pain in body and mind. You'll experience how to connect with a state of balance as your grief becomes less of a burden and more of a healing process. The suffering from loss looks different for everyone and therefore, the healing process varies. Find solace with others in this therapeutic workshop centered around understanding, accepting, and mastering your grief. Through this workshop you will find refuge in the present moment, develop techniques to care for your grieving body and mind, learn to ride the rollercoaster of hope and despair, and you will discover how to live after loss; honoring legacies while continuing on your own journey. Workshop includes a gentle practice, meditation, and journaling and will be led by Lindsay Bauer, LMFT, CYT. Lindsay is a certified therapist and yoga teacher.
