Has this ever happened to you? I rolled out my mat at home excited to take an online class with a teacher I heard great things about. 5 min into class there were poses not accessible to me today. Soooooooooo I let the video play and my next pose was eatthecakeinthefridgeonmymatasana And then I took a sweet, long nap. I’m not feeling guilty and I’m not judging my practice today. I’m happy I let myself indulge and rest. Just another way I said “yes to life” today. I hope you’ll do the same the next time you set yourself up to do something and then change your mind.

Yin emphasizes passive, static poses held for extended periods of time, while muscles are relaxed and cool. The dense connective tissues around muscles and joints are stimulated, strengthened and hydrated which improves overall mobility and health. Deep down within each of us is the innate ability to connect with the peace and freedom in our heart. Maybe you take a moment today to sit still, close your eyes, put your hands over your heart, breathe, and connect with the peace and freedom within.
Slow down. Take a few deep breaths and gently place one foot in front of the other. Walk slowly for 5 minutes or more and allow yourself to be fully present in the moment. Set an intention for the weekend. Jai Bhagwan!
