The Good Wolf brewers were able to get their hands on a lot of an experimental hop enigmatically known as HBC-586, and things got crazy. Layered on a base beer with generous amounts of flaked oats and wheat, we heavily dry hopped with 586. We get amazing aroma notes of Marie Calendar mixed berry pie, trix cereal, fruit salad, and ganja. Itโ€™s like a perfect stoner date night.

The last of our barrel aged Milkwood variants drops today and we couldnโ€™t be more excited to share the results of this delicious labor of love. It started as a collaboration with our friends @darkhorsetruckee building a decadent imperial stout with artisanal roasted Ethiopian, Yemeni, and Brazilian beans. We then conditioned the vanta black base beer on Ghana cacao nibs until it was dripping with mocha and espresso notes. This particular variant was put to bed in Rye barrels for almost a year and the result is a complex, rich, spirited stout. Come by and taste for yourself why this beer is one of our brewerโ€™s favorites from this yearโ€™s barrel season.

Loaded with fresh blueberry juice, craft @40milemalt red wheat and barley, and delicately dry hopped with mosaic, Little Feather takes flight with intense berry aroma and flavor. Pouring a deep magenta and boasting a jammy, yet balanced acidity, this Berliner Weisse has massive berry cobbler flavors and a soft, pie crust linger in the back palette. To boost the pie crust flavors we offer an optional shot of house made spiced Madagascan vanilla syrup.

Coffee, chocolate, imperial stout, and bourbon barrels...some things were meant to be. Milkwood started as a collaboration with our friends @darkhorsetruckee to create a rich beer that showcases our favorite ingredients, and what we ended up with is a decadent and silky dessert of a beer. 

Bourbon Barrel Aged Milkwood utilizes imported English caramel malts, flaked oats, milk sugar, and dark chocolate malt. After fermentation, Milkwood was conditioned on Ghana cacao nibs and artisanal Ethiopian, Yemeni, and Brazilian coffee. Matured in bourbon barrels for almost a year until it was dripping with bourbon/mocha flavors and aromas, this monster has ascended from darkness and is ready to haunt your glass.
