Days 5 and 6 of #skinemmies2017 hosted by @antiagingamber and @morethanjustskin is for AM moisturizer and exfoliator, respectively. ⭐️ For AM moisturizer, I like 2 products: Zymogen Houttuynia Cordata Ferment Lotion and dear Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream. ⭐️ Zymogen Houttuynia Cordata Ferment Lotion: I enjoy using this when my skin is breaking out because I feel like it helps heal the lesions faster. This is a light, watery moisturizer that’s perfect for oily skin. When I need extra moisture, I layer a cream on top of it. It is otherwise perfect on its own for a morning moisturizer. ⭐️ dear Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream: I was initially hesitant on getting this product because some reviews said it was heavy on the skin. I still purchased it because it contained ceramides and came in a tube packaging. I was looking for a replacement for my beloved Mamonde Moisture Ceramide Light Cream. While I did enjoy that Mamonde cream, it was a bit pricey and not as easily available. This Klairs cream is a simple, basic moisturizer that gets the job done. It is easily absorbed by my skin and doesn't feel greasy or heavy at all despite being layered on top of other skincare products. It has an herbal smell which I like. It also contains centella asiatica extract (and a bunch of other extracts, no hypersensitivity issues on me) which is an ingredient which I currently enjoy in my skincare. :) Will repurchase in the future, after I use up all the moisturizers I currently have 😂 ⭐️ As for exfoliators, I've been really into exfoliating pads like these ones from COSRX and Missha. I've been using the COSRX pimple pads since December 2016 and I've used up at least 5 tubs of it. I have a backup in my skincare drawer and I don't think I'll be removing it from my skincare regimen anytime soon. It's my favorite among the 3 in the photo above because it is mild on the skin but really helps keep my pores happy and clog-free. The essence/toner in the pad is also quickly absorbed. I use it as my first step after cleansing my skin. ⭐️ #abcommunity #skincare #koreanskincare #kbeauty #asianbeauty #rasianbeauty #igbeauty #instabeauty #skincareaddict #beautyblogger #beautybloggerph
Days 3 and 4 of #skinemmies2017 hosted by @antiagingamber and @morethanjustskin is for brand and toner/mist, respectively. ⭐️ Lots of catching up to do since I took a break during the special holidays here in the PH to visit my bf and his family.❤️ ⭐️ There are 2 brands that I discovered and loved this year: Zymogen and Natural Pacific. Both are from Korea! I can’t decide on just one brand so I’m mentioning both of them! ⭐️ I’ve talked about the Zymogen Houttuynia Cordata Ferment Serum in a few of my IG posts. It has been a staple in my AM and PM skincare routine since May 2017. I use it right after toner. Despite containing acids, it has never stung my skin! It helps heal my acne faster and keep my skin clear. ⭐️ My favorite product from Natural Pacific has to be their Real Calendula Energy Toner. First of all, I love the packaging! I love the real flower petals inside the bottle. Second, it is so mild and soothing on the skin. It gives the right amount of hydration and absorbs quickly. I find the scent very relaxing too. To me it smells like mild flower tea. Not sure how accurate my description is haha but point is I love the scent! Photo was taken back in August 2017. Bottle only has about 20% left now and I have a backup! ⭐️ Another favorite Natural Pacific product is their Phyto Niacin Whitening Essence. It’s a light essence that’s easy to spread and is quickly absorbed—perfect for daytime use! I found that it has helped fade my PIH faster! ⭐️ Will try to post as many as I can in the following days. I still want to complete this challenge!😂 #abcommunity #asianskincare #skincare #rasianbeauty #kbeauty #koreanbeauty #asianbeauty #beautyblogger #beautybloggerph #instabeauty #igblogger #igbeauty #skincareroutine
Day 2 of #skinemmies2017 hosted by @antiagingamber and @morethanjustskin is for 2nd cleanse products. ⭐️ I am quite easy to please when it comes to facial wash/cleansers. I just want one that lathers (personal preference, lol), leaves my skin feeling clean and smooth but doesn't dry out my skin (no tightness or dryness please), and is non-irritating. ⭐️ I don't test out the pH level of my cleansers because, well, I don't have pH testing strips (and just between us okay, I really can't be bothered omg is that bad). Usually cleansers that are known to have very high pH leave the skin feeling squeaky clean. I use the condition of my skin post-cleanse to gauge if the cleanser is good for me or not. Low pH cleansers are very good for skin that is compromised, like those with eczema or dermatitis. That being said, low pH cleansers may not work for everyone (same goes with all other products). YMMV (your mileage may vary) as always! ⭐️ One of the cleansers I really liked this year is this Dr. Mind Apot Clear Soap. The pink half has calamine, while the other half has sulfur and rice powder. Other ingredients: tea tree oil, sodium hyaluronate, houttuynia cordata extract, licorice extract, centella asiatica extract, portulaca oleracea extract, etc. ⭐️ This soap gives off a thick and creamy lather. It smells of tea tree oil and I loooove it. It fulfills all the criteria that I want in a cleanser. I did find that my acne lesions dried up faster while using this. ⭐️ I have a gripe with this soap though: the pink side melts a lot faster than the white side. There was a point where the pink side looked so melted, I would just dip my finger in it to get some product. One sad day though, someone decided to clean my soap dish and scraped off all the pink side. I almost cried! :( It was heartbreaking.💔 ⭐️ I'd love to repurchase this soap, but the steep price is keeping me from doing so. It costs 670pesos (~13 USD) on the Althea website. I got it for free when I purchased the Dr. Mind cushion during their brand promo. I wasn't aware it was this expensive. Oh well. Maybe someday we'll meet again Dr. Mind Apot Clear Soap! ⭐️Runners-up in the comments!
Day 1 of #skinemmies2017 hosted by @antiagingamber and @morethanjustskin is for first cleanse products. My favorite first cleanser/makeup remover is this Pharmaact Deep Cleans Cleansing Oil. This has been my favorite since last year! ⭐️ It has a rather thick consistency compared to the Biore or Kose Deep cleansing oils. Because of this, I dispense less of the Pharmaact oil than the 2 other brands so a bottle lasts very long. It melts off makeup quickly, even waterproof eye makeup and matte liquid lipsticks. It emulsifies and rinses off completely—no oily residue whatsoever, and this is what makes it a winner for me! ⭐️ It has a light fruity scent which I find tolerable. It doesn't irritate my eyes or my skin, and it doesn't clog my pores! It's also very affordable, about 200+ pesos per bottle (from online resellers; I'm sure this is much cheaper in Japan). ⭐️ The only downside I can think of is that this product is very difficult to find! This isn't available in local shops. Even my friends who have gone shopping in Japan had a hard time finding this. :( So if you do see it, buy one to try! If you don't like it, I'll gladly buy it from you hahaha~ ⭐️ I've realized this is the second post dedicated to this product here on my IG. First post was in 2016. So... This means I really love this product. :) ⭐️ Runners-up: Biore cleansing oil, Biore cleansing wipes, Bifesta Brightup cleansing sheets (got mine from SG), The Saem cleansing water (best for ultra lazy days), Garnier micellar water (work well too but they stink lol) #skincare #asianskincare #asianbeauty #rasianbeauty #rasianskincare #abcommunity #instabeauty #beautyblogger #beautybloggerph #skincareaddict #abcommunityph
I admit I am pretty bad at completing these tags or challenges, but for once this year I want to be able to complete one! So even though I am 5 days late to the party, I am still joining #skinemmies2017 😂 Will post twice per day or 2 products per entry until I catch up! It'll be nice to share with everyone the products that I've been loving this year! This is hosted by @antiagingamber and @morethanjustskin. :)
Was supposed to be Moaning Myrtle for our team's Harry Potter themed station, but I think I ended up looking like an anime school girl or something...😂 Office halloween party! Wuhooooo! #halloween #moaningmyrtle #moaningmyrtlefail #beautyblogger #beautybloggerph #igbeauty #instabeauty #selfie
