We used this last year to organize our pumpkin informational writing. Pumpkin week is coming up, and I can't wait! 💛
Howdy, Instagram partners! 🐴 #libraryfunnight
We are learning the difference between books that tell stories and books that give information this week during our Interactive Read Aloud. We made anchor charts, sang songs, and sorted books on day 1. Now we are using a fire safety text set to dig in deeper to the differences between the two. You can enter to win this and all of my lessons for the entire year in my last post! Be sure to enter!

I can't wait to start this October Morning meeting tomorrow. I absolutely love Halloween, and it's full of all things spooky. I also love the community building and spiral review that morning meeting provides! How do you do morning meeting? Check mine out through the link in my profile! http://bit.ly/2xs7BBe
Question for those of you who use my Interactive Read Aloud Lessons... I'm going to start including culminating tasks for the end of each week that includes a grading rubric for that focus standard. That's where you will get your grade for that standard. Do you still want a weekly assessment? Do you have time for that, too? I want to meet your need, but I don't want the testing part to be too much or too overwhelming. I could also make the last question the culminating task. Thoughts? Thanks in advance for your input! #readtobereadytn #readtobeready
Thoughts and prayers for all those affected by this senseless act. ❤️#prayingforvegas

We survived apple week and made it to fall break! 🙌🏻 We ate and made all things apple today. I'm kinda sad apple week is over, but we are so ready for a break. 😴
Fire Prevention Week is coming up. I have included Interactive Read Aloud Lessons for a text set that week in my October Unit. One of the daily tasks includes labeling this firefighter. It's a great reminder for our students and a great lesson for keeping them safe. If you own my October IRA Lessons, please download again. There have been several updates! Loving this little area of our room. We use this #ikea rug and table for a hands-on game area. It's just a cozy little area that's perfect for having fun! And the little gold wire basket is from #Walmart.
