YAY!! I WON YARDAGE CHICKEN!!! And I finally finished the epic border on my #aislingshawl. Now to weave in the ends and block and maybe I can wear it when I lecture next week... #phdlife #the100dayproject
My 11 year old is so sweet!!! PhD currently taking over all creative time but with this presentation done I should have a bit more time for sewing.
“Good morning star shine...” and “Let the sunshine...” are rattling through my brain today. Probably because Nelson has turned on a stunning day and “Hair” was the musical theatre show I did here...
Starting a couple of days late, but thought it might be a good way to shoehorn a little creativity into my day. #the100dayproject
Oops! So apparently the recent obsession with @robertdowneyjr (whom I share a birthday week with) has not gone unnoticed by #mrberrypatch, my Hubby gives the best gifts! 😂 Not to be outdone, Evelyn gave me an awesome family portrait of us all as superheroes (2nd pic). 😍
I’ve been learning some new skills through the @photoshop daily creative challenge. It’s pretty fun, and a nice way to take a break from the PhD studies.
First WIP for #wipwrapup2019 completed... Although I’m cheating a little, as she was the last project started, with only being begun on the 30th Dec 2018. Pattern by @kidgiddy and I just added a 1” border to the pattern block. This wee wall hanging was sent up to my parents as a gift after their 15 year old standard poodle ‘Ellie’ passed away just after Christmas. I thought the @riflepaperco fabrics for her background and collar were a good reflection of her poodle elegance. #quiltersofinstagram
My Christmas break craft project, and I’ve finally reached the lace border on my #aislingshawl - it’s going to take me a while... So it’s a good head start on what I hope is “WIP-ing wrap up 2019”, also known as the WIP pile has got too big and needs some focus!! 😂 So, here’s to a new hashtag that you can join in on if you want to focus on your WIP pile too - #WIPwrapup2019
This Mumma Quilter is doing the biggest craziest happy dance (in my head of course, so I don’t embarrass Miss E). After telling me some time back that she just “wasn’t into fabric”, she asked me yesterday out of the blue for some fabric scraps to make herself a cushion. 💃👍😘 Didn’t she do a great job!!#babysewist #ihaveasewingbuddynow #mummysheartissinging
