What do you say when your 7 year old starts crying because he doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up? Or how will he find someone to date and then subsequently marry? Or the thought of having kids seems hard so if he doesn’t have kids, will he be alone? People, this child is too deep for me and this age. I cry trying to answer questions that are way to advanced for his 7 year old mind. Bless his heart but he is killing me with his deep thoughts. For now I just kiss and snuggle!
Nothing says Christmas like the boys watching Home Alone and the sound of their gut busting laughter when Marv gets shot in the privates through the doggy door....the simple things!
Listening to Christmas music, decorating the tree while kids sleep on this really chilly night in Sask! It feels good to be home despite this frigid weather.
In all honesty, men don’t show up to photo sessions overly enthusiastic! So I love it when I am editing and can see that they relaxed, laughed and really enjoyed themselves. Oddly, it’s usually the dudes that have the most fun. It’s ok guys, your secret is safe with me!
Oh guys, it’s been a hot second! But guess what? I’m all caught up on my editing and I feel amazing!! I feel like I can take on the world....or just keep chipping away at the rest of my work and finish the small task of repainting my house!
When you have three boys, I think you expect many bumps, bruises and stitches. But I expected it would be a collective effort not all on one kid. Poor Bryce took another header today which had me doing some real doctor stuff on the dining room table. Just for the record, I’m well versed in forehead slices now and can use steri strips and skin glue like it’s nobody’s business! The principal was giving me some serious side eye when I said I wasn’t going to go to emerg but she doesn’t know my secret skills!
Oh newborn babies...how I easily forget about sleepless nights and the pain of a c-section when I’m near you! This is why we end up having more than one baby!
Guys- this afternoon, my boy Burke scored his first goal in hockey! It happened on a breakaway and I didn’t get it on video! To be honest, I didn’t expect it to happen and scrambled to get my phone out but missed my photo op. All you would have heard was his mother and father screaming “Buurrkeyyyyy” anyway, but in true Burke fashion, he was extremely humble, didn’t acknowledge the moment and skated right to the bench. After the game I’m making a big deal about it and throwing high fives and so is The Pilot which embarrasses Burke. When he wants to enjoy a moment but tries to be modest about it, he does this weird thing where he stifles his smile by pushing his tongue on the side of his cheek. Its hard to explain but everyone knows that Burke doesn’t like to brag or draw too much attention to himself. He is just the friggin cutest thing! He says he couldn’t hear us cheering which to me, means I can get a little louder next game! #hockeymom
