If we all close our eyes REAL tight do we think Tuesday will just go away?!?! 😉
Filing this under “best big brothers” #bigbrotherproblems
We had SO MUCH FUN today at a #loladutch book party at @playstreetmuseum . Griffin got to meet Kenneth and Sarah Jane (the authors and illustrators of Lola Dutch) and they were the absolute sweetest! If you haven’t checked out Lola Dutch for yourself yet I can’t recommend the books enough!
Faintest little dusting of snow this morning had me reminiscing about one of my favorite pictures EVER. Dave snapped it of Mason before taking him to the babysitter and it was the first time he had really SEEN snow. ❄️
This time last year Mason was reading at a Kindergarten level and was about to start vision therapy after a visual processing disorder (and far sightedness) diagnosis. His confidence in and attitude about reading were loooooowwww and trickling over into other subject areas and aspects of school. He has worked so hard over the past 12 months and his reading level is currently a 2nd month of FIFTH GRADE level (at the top of his range). We couldn’t be prouder of how far he’s come and the best part has been watching his confidence BLOOM. He was so excited to show me his score sheet and the little twinkle in his eye as he said, “Mom! I’m crushing it!” was an answer to prayer. . . I’m sharing all of this not JUST to brag on Mason (because I’m totally bragging on his hard work) but to encourage you if you’re walking the same road with your child. Also sharing it as a public THANK YOU to his incredible 1st grade teacher who recognized the signs and brought it to our attention, to his current teacher for fostering a love of reading, to @jessmevius for your OT help and to @prosperfamilyeyecare for being amazing!
Yes. Yes. YES. Don’t get me wrong - I love A LOT of the things mentioned above but I’m learning/working to put them all AFTER being still and being with Jesus. #bestill #simplify #preach
After school hot cocoa 💛
As long as I’m living my baby you’ll be ❤️
