[Gifted] Since exploring more restaurants with vegan menus, we’ve been inspired to make changes to how we eat at home - pledging to eat more meals where vegetables take centre stage for the next few months to see what difference it makes to our health. We’ve loved sampling tofu at @turtlebayuk paired with jerk sauce and watermelon, and these delicious sweetcorn fritters with pink onion 🙌🏼 I’ve now packed our fridge with fresh veg, tofu, and plant based “steaks” and “chicken” to make midday meals exciting yet healthy! Sunday’s are for spending the day with these two 🐶🐶 I’m looking forward to spending a cosy Sunday at home today, training and playing with the dogs, doing chores, doing the food shop for the week ahead 🙌🏼 Anyone else feel that? We’re still getting used to new routines with Jessy, but she’s settling in very well and is calming down more - hopefully we can get a new sofa soon to replace the one she has chewed up 😳 Harvey is falling more in love with his little sister - they play a lot, sniff each other to check in on walks, and I even caught them snuggling the other day. We nearly got a snuggle on the sofa with all of us last night, but then Jessy (in a hyper mood) sat on Harvey which freaked him out so we moved them on to their beds for a time-out to calm down. Happy Friday! What an amazing and exciting week - I have been rushed off my feet and looking forward to the weekend, but this week I: ☎️ Had two new client calls ☕️ Client face to face catch ups over coffee, 2 days working from clients office, and one Skype call catch up & review with a client 🦉🐈 Covered a boutique shop for my client 🙏🏼 Caught up with my coach @alexkatehare 🐶 Started puppy obedience classes with Jessica 👗 Sorted through our wardrobe room and the stack of laundry which has been bothering me for weeks 👩🏼💻 Managed to squeeze in blogging and a little self promotion on social media Phew! I have two proposals to finish today, social media client work, and a design project before I grab a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and settle for the evening 🙌🏼 We’re off to Southampton tomorrow to review a restaurant, and take some outfit snaps for a brand I’m currently working with 📸 How was your week? Yesterday I had the best fun covering for one of my social media clients in their fab boutique on the Stockbridge High Street. @op_stockbridge is filled with the most delightful gifts, jewellery sourced from independent brands, and fashion brand which will make you want to play dress up ✨ When you pop in, I highly recommend you check out the @missjuneparis maxi dresses as they are perfect to wear with a leather jacket and ankle boots this season! Plus, with 20% off for the rest of January you can grab a bargain! I really enjoyed being shop girl for the day, meeting customers, doing a virtual shopping tour with a VIP, and of course having a play on social media whilst there for the day - it’s so quick to whip up a social media video which received lots of love and engagement! If you’re working from your shop today, try creating content like videos and boomerangs, as well as getting interactive on Instastories/FB Stories with your customers - it makes a huge difference to your account engagement!
[Gifted] This year we’re pledging to eat more fruit and vegetables to improve energy levels, our health, and help the planet 🌱 And what better way to do this than to start getting acquainted with vegan recipes? 🌽 We were invited to @turtlebayuk in Winchester to sample their new vegan menu and let me tell you - meat was not missed in this dinner! From their colourful tasty starters (swipe to see the sweetcorn fritters and Trini doubles) to the hyped up Vegan Motherclucker no chicken burger, a Turtle Bay was impressive with flavour and texture combinations. You can read the full review on my blog (link in bio!) but I just want to share with you that the no chicken burger is definitely worth the hype 👌🏼 When you visit you must try the Vegan Motherclucker, avocado fries 🥑, the Caribbean dumplings to mop up sauce, sweetcorn fritters, trini doubles, and their delicious jerk tofu served with watermelon and slaw! Basic training 🐶👩🏼🎓 Now if only you could grasp the concept of not destroying our living room, you’d pass with flying colours! Thank you for all your messages about Jessy - she’s been fantastic at adapting to home life, learnt her basic commands, has earned the trust to go off lead, and Harvey has accepted (and grow to love) her. There’s still a lot for this baby girl to learn but I’m supper proud of how well she’s been doing, and how much the dogs are helping each other 🐶🐶 Today I’m hoping she’ll be whisked off for a seaside adventure by her dog dad, whilst Harvey and I blitz the house in peace and quiet - Jessy has a habit of stealing my cleaning tools or simply undoing all that I’ve cleaned in the space of 5 minutes 😂 Then I’ll need to settle down for a couple of hours of work before hitting wine o’clock 🍷 How’s your Saturday looking?
