Can you guys wake me up when we’ve got a machine which can turn 24hours into 48? 😂 This week I’m keeping busy with client projects, calls, events which I’m really excited about; and personal appointments which seem to all of a sudden be popping up everywhere! I’ve been relying on all my paper planners which are keeping me on track - if it’s not in my diary, the likelihood is I will forget about it during rush times like these. So always on hand I have my paper daily diary, task list, and my @malpaper Daily Goal Setter to keep me focussed even when things get fast paced ✨ [The planned was gifted to me by the company!] You can find the full review for Mal Paper Daily Goal Setter over on my blog - clickable link in bio! But for this evening, its time to catch up with GBBO, munch on prawn salsa with nachos, and snuggle Harvey boy 🐶💗
It brings a smile to my face to hear that one of the reasons people join me on this journey is to find inspiration of things to do and places to visit - I love exploring and it doesn't matter whether it's abroad across the ocean, or an hours drive away from my home. Everyday adventures are a brilliant way to keep exploring: for us it's finding new areas around Hampshire, Wiltshire, and Dorset for things to do and places to see. We were planning things to do in Hampshire on a sunny weekend when it hit me: we live a mere hour away from the New Forest, yet we hardly explored that area of Hampshire! So we planned a day trip to the New Forest to explore the scenic surroundings, see the New Forest ponies, and hike in the fresh air. We had such fun that I went back for two weekends in a row - so I have outlined the places we visited and what I thought of them in my latest blog post 👩🏼💻 Head over to Dalry Rose Blog to have a read!
In the mood for the power suit ☕️ It’s been all go go go at Dalry Rose HQ (which is currently 90% packed up in cardboard boxes!) - this Monday I flew through several task lists, and feeling accomplished. Safe to say it’s nearing to my lavender tea time. I realised that running a business is not the same as running yourself dry of energy and resources - in the past couple of weeks I’ve managed outside help from a graphic designer and a VA, who helped me deliver excellent client projects in tight deadlines, and took time pressure off me because let me tell you: it doesn’t matter how hard you try, there’s no way you can squeeze 48hrs into 24. Working with these creatives have squished my control freakish-ness in handing over certain elements of the project - I feel like my inner BossBabe is finally waking up and growing into the business I’m developing. And hence the outfit shakeup - this trousers suit from @prettylittlething is perfect to wear with heels to a meeting, and casual it up in the studio with trainers and a messy bun 👌🏼 Running your own business teaches you new things every single day, it’s such an exciting journey - how can anyone ever be bored?! What has your journey taught you today? Comment below and let me know!
Hey Monday 👋🏼 I know how easy it is to forget all the wonderful people and things we have around us, so this morning I want to share with you what I’m feeling grateful for - and then it’s your turn! . 1️⃣ I’m most grateful for the people in my life: my beautiful mother and supportive brother, my dearly loved grandmother, my boyfriend who fills my days with love, and my girlfriends who feel more like sisters to me. And of course my snuggly fur baby #harveythebassador 🐶 2️⃣ The food which fills our bellies with wonderful home cooked meals 🌽 3️⃣ My growing business and wonderful clients who give me the opportunity to work on creative campaigns which fill my heart with passion 👩🏼💻 4️⃣ My new juicer - the best £15 I have spent! I can now take in even more nutrients and vitamins every morning 🍊🍎🥕🥒🍅 5️⃣ Coffee with coconut milk - this morning I am very grateful for coffee! ☕️ . With my new journal, I’m going to write down 3 things I’m grateful for each morning to fill my mind with positivity and abundance. What are you grateful for this morning?
All pink everything ✨ Yesterday I cooked up a tapas feast for my lovely ladies, and today I allowed a lazy movie day with Netflix and my boys - how’s that for balance? 🙏🏼 Maybe even a cheeky takeaway is on the cards for dinner to finish the weekend... 😏 What’s your favourite takeout meal?
After a lovely mooch around Stockbridge and hitting up our favourite deli’s and farm shops, we popped to Chilbolton Cow Common for a picnic 🧺On our way back, we stumbled across this old phone booth filled with books! People can come and take a book to read, then return it for the next person - and add their own to this quirky collection. I love the idea of this hidden library in the middle of a small village! Tell me about the quirkiest thing you found in your town?
[Ad-Gifted] Cheers to the weekend! 🍻 I’ll just be here enjoying this delicious salted caramel cider from @_stablewinchester.... What have you got planned this weekend? The weather looks too nice to miss! ☀️
[Ad] Happy Friday! There is a warm sunny weekend ahead of us, and I am planning on spending it in the company of friends, family, and food 🍴 Talking of food, we recently visited @billssouthampton to see their refurbished restaurant and sample the food and cocktail menu! Bill’s has an ideal atmosphere for catching up with loved ones over drinks and dinner - I would recommend the Raspberry Rose Collins 🌹 We really enjoyed the food too: I had chicken and sesame dumplings, a Glow Bowl which I have been raving about to everyone, and the Bill’s chocolate and hazelnut sphere which is literally happiness on a plate! 😍 What I really liked is the menu caters for everyone: from indulgent burgers and crispy battered calamari, to vegan Glow Bowls and salads 🥗 Read the full review on Dalry Rose Blog - link in bio! 👩🏼💻
What a fab night yesterday at @fash_reboot in Winchester - thank you for inviting us @stylingbyje! A great way to shop for fashion pieces in a sustainable and cost effective way! Fashion Re:Boot is like a trendy car boot sale without the tack - think plenty of rails filled with preloved items, most of them still with tags on! Clothes, shoes, and accessories graced the tables of bloggers, stylists and boutique owners and shoppers browsed in a chilled atmosphere with a glass of wine in hand. I picked up a vintage look maxi dress and over the knee sock shoes 😍 All for the grand total of £15! Plus I got to catch up with my favourite girls which has lifted my spirits this week 💗 I hope there are more events like Fashion Re:Boot - these days many of us buys clothes we wear once or twice and then either hoard away or (gasp) throw away. We’ve all seen @sjdooley documentary about how fast fashion affects our world, and not to mention we’re all being mindful about how our every day decisions can impact our planet - so for me, this is a great method to keep eco friendly and get a new outfit, without breaking the bank! What do you think? Do you love the sound of this event? Are you mindful about your shopping habits?
