Rue de la Huchette is one of the oldest streets in Paris - and one of the most bustling at night. I loved eating fromage fondue at 11 PM and slurping on countless glasses of vin 🍷 Isn’t that what getting away is all about? Experiencing and indulging 🙌🏼
Ask yourself: what makes you happy? As @mariekondo would ask: does this bring you joy? If not, it’s time to get rid - or change something. After becoming addicted to the @netflixuk phenomenon Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, I really grasped the concept of things that bring me joy ✨ And whilst I’m savagely decluttering everything in my house that doesn’t bring me joy, I’m applying the same principles to my life: if there is something that no longer brings me joy, it’s time to let go. If there’s something about me that doesn’t bring me joy, it’s time to change. You get the picture! Since applying this concept of joy and happiness decluttering to my home and life, I have noticed that in a small amount of time I feel like I can breathe easier and focus on everything and everyone that matters. And it’s making space for beautiful things to arrive and to happen! I truly believe that. The simple things keeping me happy at the moment are: 1️⃣ Long countryside walks with #harveythebassador 🐶 2️⃣ Turkish coffee 3️⃣ Having dinner and catching up with friends and family 🙏🏼 4️⃣ Playing around with recipes from Kaukasis by @oliahercules 5️⃣ Spending time on developing my creativity and my brand 🌙 6️⃣ Ticking projects off my client list 💪🏼 What brings you joy? It can be as simple or complicated as you like - but I wanna hear it!
Sunday smiles ✨ Although I had grand plans this weekend to be social and tick many things off my list, it ended up being a quiet weekend in - which I don’t mind as it was used for rest & recovery 🙌🏼 Those two words are definitely on my list of buzz words for 2019: rest & recovery. It’s so important to give ourselves a break (whether that’s from social media, work, other people, home admin...) Trust me, I get it - it’s hard, especially if you pull the weight of ten million things on your shoulders - but being knackered isn’t going to help you, or anyone else. For the next 6 months my focus is very much on my health and well-being - spending the past couple of years de-prioritising my body and mind has left me running on empty, in all areas of focus. Hence why I have made serious changes to my fitness routine (to start, I now have one!) and my diet, as well as slowly knocking out bad habits 🙅🏼♀️👋🏼 If that’s something you guys want to read about, then comment and let me know so I can start a mini blog series - or simply give you updates on Instagram (as 80% of you voted that you prefer catching up with bloggers on Insta and stories!) Anyone else shifting focus to their wellbeing and health this year? 🙋🏼♀️
Weekends are for exploring 🌙 Although this weekend was a quiet one in for me, I’m reminiscing and planning future trips 🗺 How was your weekend? Did you get your well deserved rest? Or did you get out and about?

First working day of the year - done ✔️ Although tired and still getting used to a functioning brain which has been soaked in cheese and chocolate over the festive season, I feel more like myself ✨ Being creative, talking about very exciting 2019 projects, and planning my goals this evening has fired up the spark which was missing towards the end of 2018... 💥 Staying true to my spiritual guides and simply lessons I have learned during the last year, I have shut down my laptop and am enjoying an evening with my favourite TV show, a hot bath, and cosy pjs 🙌🏼 #selfcare - because you can’t run on empty 🧖🏼♀️
Hey Instagang 👋🏼 In the spirit of the new year, and coming out of my festive hiatus, I thought I’d tell you a couple of facts about me and introduce myself to all you new digital buddies on here! ✨ My name is Lana, I currently live in Hampshire UK, but I was born on the Black Sea coast in a small country called Abkhazia 🐚 ✨ I love food and I love to cook - being in the kitchen after a long day soothes me, and there’s nothing more I love than cooking for friends and family whilst catching up and sipping a glass of wine 🌶🥗🍣 ✨ I started my blog in 2012 as a hobby, and in 2016 it helped me start my own business helping brands grow and bloom through digital media 👩🏼💻 I’m very grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had through Dalry Rose Blog - and I’m excited to see what this year brings! ✨ My fur babies are everything to me 🐶 If I had a choice to live on an island of people or animals, the answer is too easy - give me four legged friends any day! Anyone else? ✨ I’m a spiritual person - I trust the energy & vibes around me, and think there’s lots of things around us we don’t know about 🔮🧿 ✨ I love travelling and exploring new places, but I have a debilitating phobia of flying ✈️🙅🏼♀️ which makes it hard to get to some of the most beautiful parts of the world, but that won’t stop me! There’s always plan B 😁 Now it’s your turn! Tell me something about yourself if we haven’t chatted much before; or if we’re Insta buddies then tell me something you want to get out of this year!
“I felt once more how simple and frugal a thing is happiness: a glass of wine, a roast chestnut, a wretched little brazier, the sound of the sea. Nothing else.” Nikos Kazantzakis 🐚
Sunday: taking the time to slow down my mind before returning to clients tomorrow 🙏🏼 After a spiritual reading yesterday I realised that everything is going in my favour when it comes to the direction I need to go in, but I have been a “busy fool” with no time to slow down and think where I actually want to end up - which is why I’m taking the time these next couple of months to slow my mind and find the missing piece of the puzzle 🧩 I don’t know where I was blindly racing to, because I haven’t visualised the end goal which is so very important to do when you’re working for yourself👩🏼💻 January looks very different for me that for most people, instead of rushing in to things to get ahead in 2019, I’m actually slowing down and taking the time to align my mind and body - which I know will yield the results I want ✨ Every year is a lesson, and I’m grateful for all lessons I learned in 2018 - now it’s time to put these into practice and make changes for a better life 🙌🏼 What is the biggest lesson you learnt in 2018?
