Feel like I'm doing some kinda princess training thing or something like Mia Thermopolis (currently watching The Princess Diaries haha)!! Sharing some books I've been reading on my blog today. Would LOVE to hear what you're reading or some of your favorite books to add to my list!🤓📚
At home sick ,trying to write a book report, but also trying to avoid writing a book report by doing anything else but writing a book report...like looking through old photos on my phone...so naturally here we are...a pic of me and a llama🤓❤️
Started reading in James this morning, and I love reading the Message version on my phone alongside my Bible in my hands. I was struck by James 1:5, If you don't know what you're doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. What struck me was the simplicity of it. I so often over complicate things as I try to use logic and process them over and over again in my mind. I worry and I try to figure it out on my own. I make it so much harder on myself than it has to be. If you don't know what to do, ask the Father. He loves to help. James is just like duh...it's simple. You need help. Ask God. God may not help in the way I want Him to help, but He's going to help in the way I need Him to help. Not only can He help me, but He loves to help me, and He wants to help you too!

The HARDEST part of living so far from home!! I cannot BELIEVE Baby T is about to be 4!!! For anyone who still gets confused when he pops up on my feed...this is my brother Teagon who my parents started fostering when he was 5 months old, then adopted when he was 2. My sister and I always wanted our parents to adopt but we had no idea it would happen when we were 19 and 20! So cool how God works and how the most unexpected things can be the BIGGEST blessings!💛
cheers to mardi gras & cheers to this ice cream we've been celebrating with!! thanks @legitsadierob for the ice cream 💛💚💜 // we had a Mardi Gras party with our friends this weekend and I've got some pics up on my blog!
Anyone else dreaming about the beach lately??? Even just dreaming about sunshine??🙋🏻 I know there is a season for everything, but I sure do love that summer season!!😍
Still laughing at the fact that 3 people got haircuts on my front porch this weekend and I wore a pair of jeans in the bath to stretch them out (laughing even harder that it actually worked!!) 🤓 // also @rooleeboutique has got sweaters like this one on sale and you can use MARYKATE for an extra discount
Sadie's new book is out today and I would say this picture is a pretty good example of the book...I'm not a big horse fan (honestly wish I was), so I definitely was not dying to ride a camel, but somehow she managed to help get me over my fear and to ride with her haha! I ended up riding because I knew I could trust her. Imagine all the things we could do if we would whole-heartedly trust God! I've seen her come so far with how she conquers her fears through the Lord, and I think you would be SO encouraged by reading her book! Here's to riding camels and here's to living fearless. Proud of you sis! Link in bio. 🐪
It's been such a treat having Katherine and her husband Jay here in town!! They spoke at convo at Liberty today and you could've heard a pin drop in the room everyone was listening so intently. John Luke and I got to hear them share their story at Passion last year and I have admired them ever since. They have a powerful story and testimony that if you haven't heard you need to listen to. The way they share and live out their journey of hope after tragedy and the way they love each other...goodness it's so, so beautiful and encouraging! You can read about it in their book Hope Heals, and I'll link convo from today in my bio. Love you guys! @hopeheals
A Tuesday with Tess🌼👍🏼❤️ A normal day that probably looked a whole lot like any other 21-year old college girl's. It consisted of me being late for class, then running some errands and ordering books🤓 There is so much beauty and grace in the ordinary though. Just got to keep a look out for it and sometimes make a little fun of your own. // new blog post up
All smiles because we made it halfway through the week and my new @verabradley bag goes with literally everything. Shop this bag through the link in my profile! ✌🏼 #ad #verabradley
A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22 // Lately I decided I have to say bye to the word should. Should is a whole other world we can find ourselves living in and when we're in that world, we're missing out on all the lovely things going on around us. We all hear comparison is the thief of joy but I never realized until lately that there doesn't have to be another person involved. When I'm feeling sick and lousy I find myself comparing my reality with how I think it should be. So here's to saying bye to should and learning acceptance with joy.🌼 //more on my blog
