Merry Christmas Eve! 🎄💕
And just like that, our three-year adventure in Germany is over 😭 Was it all a dream? I feel such a loss at leaving such a beautiful place and having my sister and brother-in-law nearby. A totally new adventure awaits...maybe a slower-paced life, but we are adding a new baby to the family next year and hope to see the other family members whom we haven’t seen in over three years! Cheers to Christmas in a hotel! 🎄
Hey, Mom! This looks like your belly! - Jordyn Gee, thanks? Haha. #almost30weeks
Returned late last night from an 8-day road trip through Italy. It sounds really cool, and truly it was, but we are exhausted! Managed to hit almost all the hot spots, but our favorites were staying in an Agriturismo in Tuscany and climbing the volcano of Pompeii, Mt. Vesuvius!
What a funny memory from our most recent trip! Our hike included a short trek with a friendly herd of cattle, their bells ringing, and girls squealing and laughing when the cows got too close. 😂🐮
First thing the girls do when waking up is to come downstairs and look at their books. Before getting ready for bed at the end of a day, they ask for a story. The middle of the day contains random read-alouds and picture books when they need a break from playing or being carted around on various errands. And...I.love.it. Warms my book loving soul 😍
The best family pic we could get during our recent trip to Portugal 😂 Windy cliff hike atop the Benagil Caves: hot, dusty, but definitely worth it!
The girls had fun choosing flowers to pick at the blumen field today. Now our house seems more cheery and bright because of the giant yellow sunflowers! 🌻
Three years ago, Jordyn Olivia was born! Our dear, often clumsy, sparkling little girl ☺️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Pondering ages past. Or when she can have lunch.
If I were clever, I'd write a meme to caption this photo as to what all parents feel at the end of a long day traveling with kids. #longday #travelingwithkids #wheresthewine
Took a little jaunt over to Schwentzingen with my sister, and was astounded by the Palace gardens there! Not to mention, the town was cute: farmers market tents in the square, dozens of cafe's to luncheon at, and interesting statutes to gawk at ☺️We wore ourselves out and we barely wandered half of the palace grounds 😳 Must go back!
Climbed to the top of the Kölner Dom (all 533 stairs + kids 😅), placed a lock on the bridge, tasted freebies in the chocolate museum, quenched our thirst with Kölsch beer, and discovered the original Eau de Cologne. I believe it is safe to say: we came, we saw, we conquered Cologne.
This morning over breakfast, the girls and I decided to take a trip to the beach nearby and soak up the sunshine ☀️ Any (summer) recreational activity you can think of, you can do at this lake. Sailing, ballooning (!), water parks, beaches, hiking... We'll be back. 👌
I'm really, REALLY going to miss this place. We are beginning to count our lasts until we move at the end of the year 😭 But thankfully, these flower fields bloom twice a year- so I will be able to enjoy them again in the fall 😁
