This morning over breakfast, the girls and I decided to take a trip to the beach nearby and soak up the sunshine ☀️ Any (summer) recreational activity you can think of, you can do at this lake. Sailing, ballooning (!), water parks, beaches, hiking... We'll be back. 👌
I'm really, REALLY going to miss this place. We are beginning to count our lasts until we move at the end of the year 😭 But thankfully, these flower fields bloom twice a year- so I will be able to enjoy them again in the fall 😁
Third year running that our neighborly Easter Bunny surprises the girls in the morning with treats and goodies! Oh, how I will miss our neighbors! Happy Easter to all. Now we are off to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior, and then dying eggs this afternoon with a delicious meal at dinner 👌 Much to be thankful for, friends! ☀️☀️☀️
The flowers in Kuekenhof were gorgeous, truly. I've always bemoaned the fact that I do not have the green thumb my Mom and Grandmother have (though I try...every year). Needless to say, one of the items I told myself I would bring back to the states when we move is Tulips from the Netherlands! Well, I have the bulbs. But unfortunately, storing them for over half year seems close to impossible 😬 but according to online sources, it can be done. Here's hoping. 🌷
Tulips and cheese and great big windmills. 🇳🇱 The Netherlands is another destination that will go down on my list of places I'd like to go back to. It's a long list. 😬
This little checkerboard stone table lies just on the outskirts of our village. It's one of my favorite spots, as it always looks so sweet and nostalgic no matter what season it is 🌱💐🍃🍂🌨

My kids were overwhelmed by their popularity today.
Wishing time could stop for a little while so I can soak in more of this darling child's babyhood. She turns 1 today, and it only feels like a few weeks have passed since I held her in my arms for the first time ❤️😩😭 Happy Birthday, Scarlet!
While waiting for her older sisters to finish gymnastics, this nearly one year old figured out how to climb up and sit in a chair... as you can see, she was so proud of herself!
Sorted and printed out hundreds of photos from the last two years. So many events, milestones, adventures, and trips I have to sort and document into photo albums! I will freely admit it's an obsession of mine 🙈 #idonttrusttechnology #documenteverything #photoprint
It's still cold here, but we are ready for spring to hurry up and arrive! We need sunshine and warmth! Trying not to let the cold keep us from exploring the fields around our village 🏞
Spent the weekend touring part of the underground network of cellars and passageways below the city that house millions of bottles of the worlds finest champagnes. We visited Epernay and Reims, France, where you'll find the vineyards and producers of some of the best Champagne! I left the area with a MUCH greater appreciation for the art, skill, and care taken into growing, bottling, and distributing fine wine. I also enjoyed getting to learn some of the fascinating history of this region in France! 🇫🇷🍾
One of my favorite things about Europe is drinking espresso out of impossibly tiny cups, with a chocolate (not pictured...😋) and cute sugar packet on the side.
I miss Christmas already. Our last trip was to Paris right before the Holidays, and we are itching to hit the road again! One year left in this beautiful country, and we are feeling the pressure to see as much as we can! 😬
