My heart is so full. 💗 — We’ve been having the best time this weekend. Two of our besties have travelled up from Dunedin to spend time with us with the sole intention of just “hanging out” and once again I am reminded how freakin’ blessed we are to have such quality humans in our life. I was worried that when we moved our friendships back home would suffer and I’ve gotta say... that hasn’t been the case in the slightest. Obviously it sucks living life apart, but when we all get together again it’s like we’ve never been apart. 🙌🏻 thankful for you @fenellachristensen @joshchignell1 - y’all the bomb dot com 🤙🏼 P.S. my husbands cheekbones are 🔥
Earlier last week, I ripped off the bandaid and completely cleared out my closet of all the clothes I don’t reach for or haven’t worn in months. We have an open closet in our bedroom, meaning that if our wardrobe is messy then it’s on full display, if it’s overflowing it’s definitely noticeable... you get the jist! 😂 it was getting to the point where it was seriously causing me some stress, so I bit the bullet and spent my morning decluttering and boyyyy has it made a difference (both to the physical closet, and my mental state!) I’m telling you guys... it has been one of the most refreshing things to have LESS stuff in my closet. LESS clothes to choose from has made getting dressed in the morning so much easier. The things hanging in my wardrobe are items I love and all go together seamlessly because I’ve finally admitted defeat (when it comes to my clothing colour palette) and given in to the fact that even though I like bright, coloured clothes in theory, the reality is that I will still always choose a white shirt over a coloured one all day err’ day. 🙈 Have you ever done a closet clear out? Was it as satisfying for you as it has been for me!?
Believe it or not, this is Dunedin not Australia ☀️🌊🙈 @sarahlemkus @danlemkus 💥 — Speaking of Australia.. we are super keen to get there sometime in the next couple of months for a little Vitamin D injection (trade the winter blues of NZ for some winter beach in Oz!) and would love your recommendations for the Gold Coast/Byron area! My dream is to get a camper van and just roadie around for a bit— so any vegan food/fun activities/ethical clothing shops recommendations would be AMAZING! ☀️

One of my favourite shots from back when we were just babies, dancing our way around Hawaii ✨ — I’ve caught myself in daydreams ever since I got back from Europe of us packing up our belongings and saying goodbye to routine and stability to explore more of this world together. It’s romantic in theory, but if we were to live that out I’m not sure it would actually bring me as much happiness as I once thought it would. If our move to Nelson has taught me anything, it’s shown me (or rather, confirmed to me) that I am someone who craves and needs my community. — Travelling is something I LOVE, but being a nomad isn’t my dream anymore! In saying that, packing up our bags and saying goodbye to routine and responsibility for a MONTH or two whilst travelling to some epic places is what sounds like an absolute dream... shall we, @timothyjoseph?
Our wee home is finally coming together. ✨ Something we’ve really missed being away from Dunedin is the constant stream of family and friends we would have through our home on a weekly (and sometimes daily!) basis. I’m so excited for the next few weeks as we have my bro @thomasmepham and sis @haywarnie come up to Nelson for a week from tomorrow (A WHOLE WEEK!🙌🏼) and our BFF’s @fenellachristensen & @joshchignell1 come and visit us in two weeks time. My heart is getting fuller just thinking about it all! ❤️
Recently picked up this plant baby and I’d love all the advice on how to keep her alive! I have big dreams and hopes that she’ll grow huuuuge 🙈 we’ll see if I can make that happen, haha - any tips/pointers?! 👇🏼 I’ve heard that these plants can be quite tricky to care for!
My kinda place @thebotanistlb 🌿🌵🌱🍃 always dreaming of the day when my house can be a real life jungle.. when I can have ivy growing up the walls and plants hanging from my roof 😍 what a short but sweet trip across the strait we’ve had! Always a pleasure visiting you, Wellington 💨
I’m accompanying my man on his work dates this avo (by accompanying I mean I’m his road trip buddy, he’s the only one doing any work 🙈) and whilst he’s in appointments I’m sitting in the car, soaking up my new @jodipicoult book ✨ — I used to be such a big reader but slowly I have let things like Netflix, YouTube and social media become my priority or my go-to whenever I have a spare minute. During my time overseas, I somewhat unintentionally really got back into reading. I read ‘Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine’ on the plane when I couldn’t sleep and it has totally got me hooked on books again. 💫 This morning, I went to the library first thing and got myself a big pile of good reads and I’m so excited to start working my way through them! — All this digital stuff we have now is great don’t get me wrong (I’m a complete sucker for social media, it’s like I’m on auto pilot when I open my phone and my finger automatically goes to open Instagram! It’s bad!😂), but man does it create so much noise in your brain compared to a good book! Reading takes all your concentration and that, in itself, is the best distraction from the world. It’s the best distraction because it requires your core focus to be on one thing, which in turn makes it relaxing because it removes all the background noise. Does that make sense or have I well and truly gone mad from this whole jet lag thing? 🤷🏻♀️
I’ve been so, so lucky to have travelled to so many epic places this year. When we decided to say YES and make the move to Nelson at the end of last year, one of our “things” was that we were going to prioritise travel in 2018 and boy oh boy, have we done just that. — It’s pretty cool to look at what our goals were and 6 months later, see how we’ve brought them to life. 💕 2 months ago I had no idea I was going to be in Europe in June but we made it happen, so it’s got me dreaming about what could be around the corner in 2 months time... Bali anyone? 🤟🏼🌴🌈😂 #agirlcandream
One day I might stop posting photos of cutie houses but today’s not that day... 🙃 — I have so many photos from my trip but up until this point, I’ve kept so many to myself. To be honest... I think it’s going to stay that way. I took a bit of a break from social media whilst I was away and it was so, so good. It’s made me take a step back and realise what’s actually important and I’ve decided that keeping up with social media can no longer be one of my highest priorities. Of course, I’ll still be posting 🙌🏻, but I’m forcing my mindset to shift from feeling like I HAVE to post, to posting because I WANT to post. It’s liberating! ✨ — Social media is cool but it shouldn’t cause you stress. I’ll be the first to admit that constantly creating new and fresh content is epic and fun, but can be very stressful and vey consuming when you’re living that cycle every single day. I’m consciously releasing myself from it and the first step was not feeling the pressure to gram the heck out of Europe (which I could have done so easily!) 💖 Here’s to RELAXING about this whole thing a bit more 🙏🏼
Kia ora whanau ✨ I’m back in NZ! Wooh! The jet lag is an absolute killer (it’s currently 7:15am and I’ve been awake since 1am 🙃) but I’m determined to kick it today so am going to fill my day with distractions from sleep 💤... aka: a Kmart trip, catching up on all my washing from the past three weeks, making a delicious meal for lunch and a delicious meal for dinner (I never thought I’d say this but I really missed making my own food whilst I was away!) and a hot date with my hot husband tonight to see Jurassic World (if I survive past 5pm) 🦖🦕 a million times excited to see it- I’m a total sucker for the Jurassic series! ✨
Managed to resist sleep all day until 6:30pm but have just woken up at 1am ready to roll for the day so I guess you could say the jetlags going great 🙃
Peace out Europe. ✌🏼 you’ve been a blast (that’s putting it lightly- more on that later), but I am SO ready to see my man 💛🧡❤️💜💙 coming for you @timothyjoseph x
TODAY’S THE DAY 💍 P.S. yes, this is where we are staying 😍
Hey Toby 👋🏼 #thecastledog
France, you are something special 💗 — Yesterday, I arrived in the South of France. I’m here to celebrate (and photograph!) the wedding of two incredibly special humans and I’m SO excited. It’s the purpose of this entire trip and to be here, with everyone, makes my heart so, so full. This place is unreal! A photographers dream. Just wait till you see the house (castle) we’re staying in....😍😍😍
Things I have learnt about London: — 1. People are ALWAYS on a mission. To the point where they will nearly get squashed by closing tube doors to make that particular tube, even though the next one comes in 1 minute 😅 go figure. — 2. M&S is a gift straight from the heavens. Amen. 🙏🏼 — 3. The parks here are incredible and such a good escape from the big city (even though they’re right smack bam in the middle of all the action!) Fave so far would have to be the Kensington Gardens 😍 — 4. If you don’t like walking, London is NOT the city for you 😂 — 5. Why do people stand on the right on escalators etc., when they drive on the left? This is very confusing to me and something I have not yet learnt the answer to, but would love to 😂 — 6. FOXES. 🦊 need I say more!?
@timothyjoseph where you at 😏 — My feet literally feel like they’re about to fall off and I’m lacking any sort of motivation to carry on, so naturally, this is my go-to form of sustenance 👌🏼 Today has been a day of such good food! Snog fro-yo and lunch at @farmgirlcafe in Notting Hill (which I totally fell in love with by the way!)
