Refurbishment complete, ready for when we can open up again. #newelectricshuttersfancy
Well as we all know, rowing seems to be done for the forseeable future. The Quintin senior squad had a cracking season, picking up a 3rd in Champ 4+ at 4s Head, 3rd in Senior VIIIs at Quintin Head and numerous penants at Scullers Head. Our whole first VIII and majority of our 2nd VIII will be sticking around next season for another crack at whip and so if you think you’d like to be a part of that, get in touch. We’ve got more Packers than you can shake a stick at. However, as we like to do things a bit differently at Quintin, during the intervening period we won’t be shouting about how many Kms our athletes have widdled out on strava or bench presses they’ve done in their spare rooms, because no one cares how many ergs you’ve done during the season... so they probably don’t care outside of it. Instead we’ll be giving the people the thing they want most after lovely pictures of rowing.... lovely pictures of cakes, baked by our very own athletes. 1st up we a burnt butter banana cake and sourdough Loaf from our 2 man Harry, 4 man Kierhan has produced both a Victoria sponge and sumptuous looking Lemon Drizzle. There is another banana loaf from 5 man Max, with a pita bread for scale, and finally a rice pudding/Mac n’cheese from player coach Alex. Tune in tomorrow to see what our squad has rustled up. #bakeforvictory #whatthepeoplewant
Good racing on the weekend. A third place finish in Senior VIIIs for our first boat, and an unfortunate bent rudder for our 2nd VIII. Fun way to kick of 2020.... see you next year. #upthetin #Quintinhead credit @maaaaaaaaak for the great snaps.
Thanks @active_tools for supporting Quintin Head tomorrow. Can’t wait for racing to begin and see who will win those Cox orbs! For those that haven’t heard, the start time has been pushed back 15 minutes, to ensure tide has time to turn against the large quantities of land water coming downstream. #QuintinHead #UptheTin
Some great results for Quintin yesterday at Scullers Head, with Max Murdock winning novice, Mark Chatwin Masters B and Tom Bishop Masters H. There were 🥈 for Mike Ewing in senior, who was also 9th overall, Jonathan Ferris in Masters F and Pete Meaney in Masters G. We’re now counting down the days to the Tideway’s next major spectacle #Quintinhead #bringinghomethebacon #upthetin
A good day at the office today. Particularly for our Champ 4+ coming in 4th while our Band 2 4+ placed 7th and Band 2 4- in 20th, in their respective categories #Upthetin #fourshead
Quintin has 5 boats racing pairs head tomorrow. 2 senior pairs, and IM 2x and 2 Masters doubles (G&H). Will we see a repeat of last year and bring home some pennants? #upthetin #PairsHead #bringhomethebacon #Quintin
The season is nearly upon us and Jonno is wondering how he’s gained 16kg since Henley. If you want to join him on his winter shred come down next next Thursday at 7:30pm for our Pre-season chat. #JOINQUINTIN in the meantime enjoy our preseason build up as I list all the reasons why you should #JOINQUINTIN and not somewhere else similar but slightly worse.
