#winning ! Unlike this photo from a few months back when George was pretty down in dumps and sick the other week he got the all clear, from Becci at Central Lakes Equine who first diagnosed him in early May this year. After months of treatment and 4 follow up scopes, finally all secondary complications had cleared up from his treatment for guttural pouch mycosis. A great result and a Clean bill of health for George after 6.5 months of challenges. Thanks for putting up with us Becci and persevering. What a mission!! Thanks to the many many people who helped out and chipped in over the last few months! Far too many to name but especially to Gareth, Emily and all the whole awesome team at the @canterbury_equine_clinic for fixing him up. He’s Ready for summer if it ever arrives ! #adventuresofgeorge #savinggeorge
Colin the Carnivorous Duck wandered up to the hut we were staying in over the weekend. Up a massive hill, and no mum in sight. He had got a long way from home for a wee fella. He adopted us and stuck around even after we went away hunting for hours... he was still waiting on the porch when we got back. So we had to look after him and he’s now in a good home on a farm. He was an absolute crack up! Loved getting into deer legs, sandflys, grasshoppers and moths plus some sugar water. Was good to have your company on the trip Colin!
Not a bad vista. Hanging out trying to spot some deer. #huntnewzealand
Nice evening in the mtns #newzealand
I’ve had 3 or 4 trips up the mount this year while making some flying stops in #mountmaunganui for work. This was def the best sunrise of the lot though.
The weather cleared for a wee Friday afternoon spin up to Lake Marian. A good way to start the long weekend #fiordland
Great to have this cheeky wee shit back home after all his travels and treatment at the @canterbury_equine_clinic . He’s been back 6 weeks or so and Just got the test results back from his first follow up scope of his guttural pouch. It was clear of fungus which is good. A bit more motoring to go and things to keep an eye on but so far so good recovery wise. He was away for 81 days or so, had some long shifts in the float, a couple of general anaesthetics for various procedures, lasers cutting holes in things and burning stuff and more sedations than We could count not to mention had more things up his nose than the London party scene. But he’s kept his personality up the whole time and his appetite. He hopped right off the float when we arrived home shook himself off and wandered back to his paddock to see Baxter. He’s been in great form and hasn’t missed a beat since and is back into some riding with his QT crew. Thanks to all those who helped out with him over the last few months it’s been much appreciated. The team at the @canterbury_equine_clinic , Rach and Becci for all the vet treatment and care. Lisa @thompson_horses1 team for putting him up for a bit and giving him plenty of fences to jump. Vicky and Karl Wood for the float Doug and Cindy for letting him live with you. @liz_emily4 And @susan.charlesworth For being his QT support team and keeping him fit. @robyn7773 And Roger for buying him feeds and treats. @enthusejohn And Ange for the accomodation in CHCH. @maynaje1 For the airport rides Emily for driving us home from Chch and for all the updates from the clinic. Was like I was there each week (well I was most weeks) such a good running commentary! All the rest of the people who went to see him up there ! Sarah, Sanna and the rest ! I think he has the most visitors of any horse that’s ever been there. And anyone else I’ve forgotten sorry ! Massive thanks !! 👍🐴🐴 Once his hair grows back and my bank account recovers There shouldn’t be any signs off the struggles of the last 4 Months and he should be all good to his next mishap ... he’s too naughty to avoid the odd little incident ! #adventuresofgeorge #queenstown
Start line action from the the Peak Peak on the weekend. Athletes start at @theremarkables and finished a couple of hours or more later at @coronetpeak . Was a boomer day and a great event to MC. #queenstown #multisportnz
