Now, possibly more than ever, we're at a moment in time when perspective really matters. Instead of assuming yours is the only one, make an effort to understand different perspectives. It’s not the easiest thing to do but anyone can learn to do it and it’s really the simplest way to gain an understanding of others' morals, ideologies, and motivations, as well as discuss them in an enlightening manner. Ask questions, you may just learn something, you might even end up teaching something. Instead of assuming one story about a situation, create multiple stories from multiple perspectives, and then ask yourself - “What if I were in those situations? How would I feel/manage?.”

Egocentrism - refers to someone's inability to understand that another person's view or opinion may be different than their own.
Egocentric thinking is a natural tendency to view everything in relation to oneself. This type of thinking leads to the inability to sympathize with others or analyze and evaluate various perspectives.
