The 2018 Melissa's Road Race is fully sold out. After announcing this historic race was cancelled after the 2017 event, leaders of the Banff Marathon worked with the previous Melissa's organizers and local stakeholders to ensure the annual fixture stayed alive and well! The response from the running community was tremendous resulting in an early sell out. Melissa’s is heading in to its 39th year and has been described as a colourful display of sport and fun in Banff National Park. Melissa’s is also famous for its entertainment along the course, contagious spirit, post-run party and long-sleeved commemorative running shirt featuring local art. Melissa’s has received multiple awards as Alberta’s Best Road Race and is a longstanding tradition in Banff. Planning is already underway for the 40th anniversary of the event in 2019. Registration opens early this fall and a quick sell-out is expected.
