Having our kids help in the kitchen was a game changer for us. It gave them a buy in and helped them feel worthy and connected. When i would (and sometimes still do) shoo them out of the kitchen in order to get things done quickly, i was putting myself first, and communicating that they weren’t __________ enough to contribute to our family or our meal. Here is to leaning in to the discomfort, increasing a sense of independence and most of all CONNECTION in our family. #nevertoolatetochange. Ps. Swipe left to see the mess i left out, only because i wish that’s what other people would do. “Here’s this amazing inspiring photo! And here is the disaster intentionally left just outside the frame!”
Morning sunshine might be my favorite thing about this old house.
These old trees were what drew me in to this property, but in the middle of winter we couldn’t tell that they were mostly dead. 😩 it has provided for ample opportunities for hard work and plenty of firewood. 🔥
The door may not be staying, but this stained glass will be saved. #hirschifarm
The swimming pool season is now officially over, but boy it was so wonderful while it lasted! ☀️☀️☀️
A little princess attending to her teepee garden house.
I get to live here! One of the greatest gifts God has given us in the natural beauty around us every single day. This weekend I’m out enjoying it with my Love.
