My regulator is repaired and my studio is back to full steam ahead ☺️ It is a bummer when a favorite and needed tool is out of commission. What temporary tool loss would bum you out?

Once upon a time, many moons ago, my husband and his buddy created a comic series. Wanting to commemorate their lasting friendship and their quirky senses of humor and style, I created 3D renderings of the main characters for a series of cufflinks for the groom and the character based on the groom’s likeness was created as a pendant for his wife. #cufflinks #silvercufflinks #CADcufflinks #shapeways #makermovement #mensaccessories
I am a budding CAD designer and I am thrilled that I get to use my skills to commemorate life events. This necklace serves as a memento for an amazing life experience for myself and the five other awesome women who were the first ever relay team to swim around Santa Cruz island. #sterlingjewelry #cadjewelry #shapeways

Who was the first recipient of my jewelry? Mom There have been some personal sadnesses that have interrupted my studio time. I am sharing today some of my early jewelry items found in my mom’s jewelry chest. I forged the iron rose-head nail ring when I was younger than 12 years old - I cannot remember exactly (and neither can my Dad). And I made the sterling with cabochon items and the polymer clay necklace during my early-to-late teen years (the hematite ring may have been made when I was in my early 20’s?). It is intriguing to see this past work again and to reflect on my maker trajectory ☺️
