Always swooning over old tools. That file handle is sexy!
Studio tidy day. I am not really a princess with the pea type, but those bolt ends finally wore through the old foam and hurt my backside. Today I fixed the problem with a retired memory foam pillow and fabric ends from the store. I am ready to sit for hours at my bench again 😉
I am thrilled to share that my jewelry is now at @tanglewoodworks in the #hyattsvilleartsdistrict. As a jeweler, I often feel like I lead the life of a hermit, toiling away alone - to engage in my #shoplocal area brings me happiness. This jewelry is made from either new, recycled, or repurposed sterling. The patterns and stamped images are made using antique dies or stamps (1890's or 1916) or vintage/hand cut stamps (my dad hand cut many of the stamps I use in the 1970's and later).
When we select jewelry for the day, sometimes much goes into our choice. While my #resist pendant version 1.0 is now outdated a bit it is still armor and inspiration as I head into work.
Hair trimmed. Waiting at metro. Hating the hot & humid weather, but lurving my sterling and simulated garnet earrings.
Pattern. Texture. Form. Shape.
Polishing day at #galaartisans These lightweight sterling earrings were hammered into an antique die for embossed texture and pattern and then adorned with scattered rubies and sapphires for pops of color on the surface
