Venus in a moon boot- in doubt for clay season 2017 French Open doubles champion Kiwi Michael Venus is in doubt for next month’s second Grand Slam of the year at Roland Garros. The world number 14 ranked doubles player rolled his ankle in his first round match at the ATP tournament in Marrakech last week. He returned to his base in London and had an MRI scan which has revealed he tore a ligament in his foot. He is currently in a moon boot and unsure when he will be able to return to the court. “It’s obviously very frustrating.” Venus said. “Especially with so many big tournaments happening now and in the coming weeks but it’s all part of sports.” “I now get a chance to spend some time at home with Sally and Lila which I love and I will be working hard to get back as quick as possible.” Venus withdrew from this week’s Monte Carlo Masters with his regular partner Raven Klaasen teaming up with Britain’s Joe Salisbury.
And that’s a wrap! The Junior Davis Cup team finished 5th which is huge achievement for NZ. Proud of this team! @corban_crowther03 @aulky_wang @jaythefriend
